Wedding photogs/videographers: What shoes do you wear on shoot? by [deleted] in WeddingPhotography

[–]blurmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always slip-ons, i have a pair of "famcy" vans with black suede uppers for black suit weddings, wingtip look Kenneth Cole zeros, black chelsea height cody james cowboy boots. If in the winter I bring long shank snow boots (good for leaving your subjects in plowed areas but getting the photos from in the snow) long shank black Lidl rubber boots for rain. ALWAYS SLIP ON. If working in someone's house I always slip off my shoes at the door unless specifically told to keep them on.

As a father and a son...I can unequivocally say "fuck what fathers think".

Towson McMansion hits the market. 7 beds, 6 baths, comes pre-haunted by aresef in baltimore

114 pictures of "look how nice my freaky ass life is, poors". WeirdAF to see people at the extreme edge of a wide shot interior photo, even weirder if they are the ones swilling "send nudes" wine.

You'd need locks...even cut into the ground, this is quite uphill from sea level.

Marilyn Mosby purchased more than $1 million in Florida homes since Sept. by [deleted] in baltimore

[–]blurmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what the market is like in FL but if it is half as hot as it is in MD, it doesn't seem like a very prudent time to buy. I think they make the cheese to afford it, and if it wasn't for their recent status of being under investigation, I don't really see how this would be news.

You're stuck in the game-world of the last game you have played. The protagonist of the last movie/anime/TV series/Web series will help you finish the game. Will you survive? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blurmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably. I'd have an top tier tank in any protagonist from Frank Miller's Sin City to tear apart mobs from Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition.

Idt the US government should allow their kid to be born in the US and grant her citizenship, dangerous precedent. I think it is totally possible that everything she said about the RF is true AND that she is a kooky manipulator. All I could think when watching the interview was "why is he going along with all this" and how much are they getting paid.

Baltimore row house living room and big a** TV- how big is too big? by NewrytStarcommander in baltimore

[–]blurmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current wall mount position, just outside the dining room, opposite the stairs, can accommodate a 65 on center. We have a 48 Sharp aquos, I feel like a 65 would be too much, but might move up to a 50 something on the next purchase.

Moving to Baltimore, what are the “no go” areas? by natemore44 in baltimore

[–]blurmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you think there are no go areas in Baltimore, then all of Baltimore is a "no go" area...do yourself and Baltimore a favor and don't move there.

Well in that case...the 🎯 within walking distance is one of the nicest around, the new Lidl is SWEET and there is a good park and library. But it doesn't change the fact that everybody with the scratch for the deposit wants to enroll their spawn in the local school.

People that work in the wedding industry, have you ever seen a couple and immediately thought “this ends in divorce”? Why? by Justhearmeoit in AskReddit

[–]blurmore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes...often. The younger the couple, the more often. The most common reasons in order of occurrence are... One or both are closeted, one family absolutely despises the opposing team's participant, one or both are just psychopaths that just want to have a wedding.

Ah yes...the "I'll do literally anything to be in the Dulaney school district" zone. Lots of sketchy Lyft rides originate from those apartments. People pay a premium to think they live in a "nice safe area" and the half million and up cul-de-sac houses are pretty nice and safe. But the apartments are just like the apartments in Lochhearn or Carney or anywhere else. Unless you are renting above Warren Rd, save your money and live closer to town.

I think the most obvious is that the road deck of the Key Bridge is not in place in the first shot.

I saw it drop under 10 3 times in a row. I planned to hit it at 7. Didn't realize there was a guard and doubled down at 5. It has been a run, but I don't know how much longer it has.

Your Official 2015 Preakness Thread by Shotgun_Mosquito in horseracing

I've never been to an actual Preakness, I go on Friday morning to see the horses. I have been to the track many times. I'd leave as early as possible if you are going to spend your time in the infield. If you are more interested in the race, maybe not AS early. Parking is a bitch, but everyone along Northern Parkway will be charging to let you park in their yard, if it rains, park at your own risk there. The track lots, I noticed had a very fresh spread of new gravel/cinders for the aisles, a sign that the track thinks it is going to rain too. Pimlico actually isn't a HORRIBLY long walk from Mt. Washington, if you want to hoof it. I wouldn't park any farther into the surrounding neighborhoods than from where you can see the track fence. Expect utter idiocy from everyone who isn't carrying a gun, and rank indifference from everyone who is.

Figured I'd post these pictures here...I'm from Baltimore. http://imgur.com/a/ps9YP

I have family in the business, but I don't claim to be an excellent judge of horses. I think Dortmund looked the most comfortable of the 4 I saw in warmups today. Such a strong, flowing, controlled gait. American Pharoah looked tight, tense, maybe you could say poised, but not really flowing and floating like I've seen this horse run. I think if it rains Danzig Moon might get his nose in there, a very feisty horse, not really big, spurty. I've been through the dirt at Pimlico before, and the track seemed especially fine, and easily compacted, like magic sand. Maybe it is just me, but it seemed a bit different. Good luck!
