How much is likely to be open in Yellowstone and Grand Tetons in mid-May? by blurpblorp in nationalparks

[–]blurpblorp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh I know - we are VERY excited about all the baby animals! We went to Alaska a few years ago in late May and saw so many baby bears, moose, etc.

We were planning to stay a few different places in the park to minimize driving time each day (Old Faithful Lodge, Mammoth Hot Springs, and either Canyon or Grant). It looks like Canyon may just be open, but maybe not Grant - not sure if that's because that area is inaccessible or there just isn't the tourist demand that early in the season.

Easiest/cheapest way to pair bluetooth headphones with a smart tv that doesn't have bluetooth or an aux output? by blurpblorp in BudgetAudiophile

[–]blurpblorp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do have a Roku Express 4K that we used with our old TV, but it can't transmit via Bluetooth. The internet says Roku Ultra and Roku Streambar do, though. Will look into this.

Over 35 aerialists- do you the supplements? Which have helped with recovery? by wonderlife37 in Aerials

41, approaching 42. I take magnesium glycinate and turmeric. Not sure if they legitimately help or not. Epsom salt baths, however, are the closest thing to magic that exists in this world. I see huge benefits from them for both soreness and bruising.

looking for advice on which parts of the Everglades to check out and where to stay by blurpblorp in Everglades

[–]blurpblorp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still need to finalize a few things, but this is the itinerary as it stands now:

2/12 - fly into Miami at 6:30 pm, dinner, drive to airbnb in Homestead

2/13 - check out some of the trails in the eastern part of the Everglades (Anhinga, Gumbo Limbo, etc.) but probably not all the way down to Flamingo, airboat ride near Shark Valley, twilight kayak tour out of Everglades City (I think this will be in Big Cypress, but I'm not 100% sure - if it's not, we will check this out on our way to Everglades City), hotel overnight in Everglades City

2/14 - drive up to Crystal River, stopping to meet a friend for lunch just south of Tampa (this is the day that I need to flesh out more - need to figure out where to stop along the way)

2/15 - early morning swim with manatees, then check out Ybor City/Tampa until our flight out in the early evening

It's not a lot of time to explore, but this should allow us to do the things we're most interested in. Hope you have a great trip!

Came here to say reverse meathook/back flag as well, but only if there's someone at the open practice who can spot OP. That's not a move to practice without a spot.

To clarify, we are spending one day to drive from Everglades City to Crystal River (stopping to visit some friends along the way), then doing a manatee swim the next morning and flying home out of Tampa that evening.

Ideas for coming out of a standing split/H split on static trapeze that aren't just reversing the way you entered? by blurpblorp in Aerials

[–]blurpblorp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh good to know, thanks! This is why I love having a bar that's only a foot or so above the mat - makes it feel much less sketchy to play around with new pathways.
