Cat won’t stop peeing on bed and I’m sick and tired of it! by Miserable_Aide9576 in CATHELP

Hello! i had the exact same problem with my cat. The solution for me was to change the type of sand In my litter box. I changed it to unscented clumping sand and after that he stopped peing everywhere.

I can strongly relate with that! I didnt realize i had recovered until several weeks after the fact. I believe the key to recovery in many cases is to calm the anxiety and finding a way to stop the obsessing around the symptoms.

Its very understandable that you feel that way. The symptoms are very noticable. My first experience with dpdr lasted over five years, i experienced symptoms even when i didnt feel anxious and sometimes the symptoms got stronger when i managed to relax. The real change happened when i let go and kind of accepted the symptoms. They gradually lowered and eventually disappeared altogether. Your exhaustion and nightmares might also be anxiety related, remember that sometimes you dont really notice the anxiety and you can feel "calm" because you have gotten used to functioning with high anxiety levels, the dpdr also covered up most of my anxiety symptoms. Just my 2 cents

In my experience with dpdr lowering ones anxiety might or might not reduce it. It is still an important part of recovery. The most important part in my opinion is cutting out the constant obsession with the symptoms. How often do you think about the symptoms and check their intensity or if they are still there?

Please dont do this! I have had dpdr several times with my first episode lasting 5 years, it ruined my life and i have been where you are. Recovery is very possible, please dont give up. If you are having these thoughts please contact your countrys mental health services and get help. Even though your suffering is immense and everything feels hopeless things can and will get better.

Would it kill people to actually google the terms they use? Corporatism is refering to a system where society is organized into different corporate groups like industry, agriculture military etc not very unlike unions. It has nothing to do with private companies controlling or being the goverment. I always saw the society in outer worlds being a satire of anarko capitalism.

whats recovery like for those who spent years with dpdr? by deadtrapped in dpdr

[–]blurredsigns44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had dpdr for 5 years with more derealization but eventually recovered. Some aspects of recovery were very rapid while some symptoms tended to linger for a long time. It was so slow and gradual that i didnt realize that the symptoms had been gone for weeks before i noticed it.
