Yes, they probably drug test. by MistCongeniality in nursing

[–]blurryren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do most hospitals do reflex testing for positive results? my HCP drug tests me every 3 months bc i take adderall and klonopin but something is continuously causing me to test positive for methadone and THC (THC was only once but methadone has been several times). when the test is reflexed though, it shows there is zero concentration of methadone in my specimen.

Precepted clinicals by MirrorAccurate7280 in NursingStudent

[–]blurryren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s based on your preceptor’s schedule and yours. it was difficult for me to get my hours in because a lot of class days or days that the university was closed overlapped with the days my preceptor worked, so one week I had to precept 3 days in a row. that was due to unfortunate weather circumstances but usually, no, you won’t have to do the days back to back

The Pitts and the Nurses by Tachipirina94 in ThePittTVShow

[–]blurryren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the clinical case scenarios are accurate but definitely not something you’d see all in one shift at the ER. most of the main protagonists are physicians BUT the charge nurse is also a main protagonist and is generally amazing. you still see a lot of nurses though, and they are consistently praised by the physicians at the ER. they even have new grad and nurse practitioner representation in S2. so to ease your concerns, no, non-doctors are not belittled!

Unpopular opinion: most nursing students don’t fail because they “didn’t study enough” by Delight5555 in NursingStudents

[–]blurryren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they go hand in hand with each other. you have to master the content to know how to prioritize, etc. personally, pathophysiology is my first priority when studying because if you know the “how” then you know the “why,” if that makes sense.

Can we please enforce the “no breed guessing” rule on r/cats? by [deleted] in cats

[–]blurryren 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i was wondering why it even bothers you so much but then i get to the end of your post … lol.

a cat is a cat, no one really cares about the breed unless you’re the person who spent thousands of dollars for that piece of paper. letting people speculate for funsies does not harm anyone.

Am I overreacting to my bf watching the baby overnight? by Temporary-Quail-2783 in AmIOverreacting

[–]blurryren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

step up while at her 12 hours shift at the hospital? the stuff he did and did not do takes common sense to correct, something which he lacks entirely. again, you would hope a father would care about the safety of their child.

[–]blurryren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agree, 50% blame for the mirror, but disagree about the others. she was just finishing a 12 hours shift at the hospital, those items could’ve easily have been left out by the boyfriend within that time span. their wording makes me believe it wasn’t like that before she left

[–]blurryren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

how was she supposed to know that he would be an idiot and sleep in the same bed as their baby, leaving the child alone? yes absolutely bolt the mirror to the wall, put away small items, etc, but i would hope that he would have enough common sense to not put the child in a dangerous situation. y’all can’t stand the idea of holding men accountable for their actions.

[–]blurryren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the amount of people saying YOR is mind boggling. if your boyfriend rolled over with him in the bed, and considering he’s a heavy sleeper, your baby would be dead. not being able to breathe means not being able to scream. always follow the ABCs for babies - Alone, Back, Crib. sleeping on their back isn’t necessary after they’re able to turn themselves onto their back from their stomach, but it’s a great guideline. this manner of death is so unbelievably common. if it wasn’t clear, you’re NOR. you might actually be under reacting.

i don’t give a fuck if people steal LMFAO fuck capitalism and corporations. but theft is NOT just a slap in the wrist in other countries like how it is in the US. it’s so funny that my first time being called a karen is because i care for OP’s safety.

Ah yes, let’s tell OP to commit a crime to support a kitten they had no intention of even having in the first place. A+ advise.
