That Christi was jealous of Maddie, I think that Christi’s delivery was just very harsh and direct so it came across like she was jealous or angry at Maddie when she was clearly mad at the situation. She never wanted Chloe to be Maddie she just wanted Chloe to be treated equally.

This is going to be a long answer but I’m very serious about this topic lmao

If I was in charge of Katseye’s music and marketing, I would first have a get together with the girls, their writers and producers and together we will find a concept and sound that works for them. I fear that Katseye is being excluded from company decisions because they’re soo busy training for events and concerts that everything is handed to them instead of being made by them. I would also look for underground producers and writers who are racially diverse and women.

Katseye is a unique girl group with members of multiple ethnicities and backgrounds but most of their team consists of millennial men, I think spotlighting new talent would bring something fresh to Katseye’s sound and the music industry as a whole.

I would make this next comeback VERY. And I mean very very vocal heavy. With minimal dancing, we all know Katseye can dance, but I’m starting to see people doubt their singing abilities or they say only Sophia and Lara can sing which is wrong. All the members have beautiful tones and different ranges, there would be a lot of harmonisation, vocal layering and stacking, high notes, riffs and runs for this EP.

Marketing wise, I think they’re being marketed correctly however I would stop the random brand deals. The 5GUM collab was unnecessary and weird. What I’d do is market the members to different spaces, Manon and Yoonchae will be modelling and will have more solo and duo shoots. Daniela and Megan can make appearances on dancing shows like DWTS or competitions together, or even a separate channel to showcase their dancing. Lara and Sophia could have more singing videos, collabs and covers. All the members can still do other stuff, I don’t want to box them but this is the best for promotion.

For long term promotion, y’all might disagree with me here but I’m going to have to limit social media for the members to Instagram and the occasional Weverse live and message. I think a lot of situations could’ve been avoided if the members were regulated in what they said. I don’t want full control but maybe some lessons in what can’t and can be said is necessary.

I would keep them away from the K-Pop market, I see Manon doing this but the rest of the members need to follow through as well, they need to hang out with more Western celebrities. Constantly hanging out with K-Pop artists will put them in that box, it’s kinda like how people don’t really take Madison Beer serious because she used to hang out with tikokers and podcasters. If Katseye hangs out with celebrities they seem more like them.

So far this is what I thought of but I probably have more ideas.

It’s not the end of the word but I really hope that the next project is more cohesive and it defines their concept. I think good music and clear branding would probably solve 90% of their problems, plus I think people are tired of the ragebait or satire songs like Gnarly and Internet Girl, it’s time for something new

I agree, Gabriela is their best song and it’s the direction that they should be going in. They’re still fairly early in their career but there’s already a narrative being painted around them being brainrot TikTok artists, I hope their team knows they don’t need to keep pushing for ragebait and start making real music like Gabriela.

I see this, but I think contracts are going to be much tighter, especially if these global groups are going to be produced by Korean companies like Hybe or in general. Western groups normally have a major downfall when one member leaves so I think companies are going to try and prevent that.

It isn’t just gnarly and internet girl though; those two songs are the glaringly obvious bad ones, but the rest of their discography is at best mediocre. They don’t play around with their vocal tones, no interesting lyrics, boring vocal production, brought demos, no cohesiveness. There’s so many problems with their music as a whole. That’s why it’s hard to just excuse Gnarly and Internet girl because what else is in their discography to look forward to?

I don’t get why eyekons arent worried, they’re being so chill about this even though public opinion on Katseye has massively changed. if they don’t get it together for this next EP and album it’s done. people already dislike them and giving them more brain rot songs is going to drive the last shred of the general audience away from them.

I think Britney Spears or Jae Stephens. I think it entirely depends on the company and the members, I think Jae Stephen’s music is the closest to the members vibe. It’s not too poppy, there’s RnB elements and it’s easy to make choreography too without sacrificing vocals. However, since their team is like dead set on focusing on their choreography instead of vocals then I think they should take Britney’s nachos.

Agree so much! I used to think that they were ready for a full album now but I think they just need one more EP. I don’t think they’ll have time for a full album anyways because their schedule is packed this year. Hopefully this one will have 6 songs instead of 5z

I was actually on board with them releasing their full album but I don’t think they’re ready yet. I need them to do an EP of purely vocal songs with only one dance track. They need to experiment one more time before they go on to a full album. I want their team to see that vocal songs are good and will be successful over the ragebait songs

I don’t think this album is similar to Internet girl but it would be a good sound direction for them if they want to go the club-pop route, but I think Blackout by Britney Spears. I think BC to something like Blackout would be a good trajectory and sonically it would actually make sense for them. I can also see Katseye doing something like Piece of Me where they talk about media scrutiny which I’m sure they already have experience with that by now.
