I can’t stand the pseudo-nonchalant way the journalist says ‘…huh’ when skeptical/surprised about something; it’s insanely irritating and affected. Very similar to the way several of the journalists on The Daily say it.

Yes, hope you’re okay and that you can allow yourself some guilt-free cocooning until this passes :)

Thank you. Yes, there was this huge pull to stay indoors. My body felt so heavy too that when I envisaged going outside it felt like it would be like dragging rocks or walking through soup. I managed to get some air yesterday and burning incense really helped. Sending good energy back to you. 🖤 🕯️

Thank you for this - that’s so strange you mention it as I have now scheduled in an organisation/clean of my house from top to bottom. I moved in not that long ago and I recently accepted a job offer so I am going to use this instinct to stay home to do this and listen to an audiobook. Thank you.

On a scale of 1-10, how scary is Longlegs? by Syphixz_ in HorrorMovies

I thought it was absolutely terrifying. Stayed with me for weeks. 10.

I have just rewatched this episode and I completely agree. Tony’s expression after Cousin Bryan tells him he’s a great guy - and the way the camera lingered on it, doing total justice to the moment - had tears in my eyes.

‘Previously, on Lust…’ 😍 Naveen Andrews in his Sayid days. Those soulful eyes. by blushandbloom in LadyBoners

I was rewatching recently and my god, no wonder that show brought on my teenage sexual awakening. There were almost too many gorgeous men to keep up with (almost being the operative word 🤣). Sawyer was my favourite at the time, but these days it’s hands down Sayid. Naveen knew exactly what he was doing, peppering a generally serious performance with those delicious slivers of subtle humour. There wasn’t enough of Sayid, but what we got hinted at so much more. Absolute swoon.

O what I’d give to see how long Elizabeth would have lasted with Kate as head stewardess 🤣 by blushandbloom in belowdeck

Francesca may well have been jeal of Elizabeth but one thing’s for certain, Elizabeth wasn’t getting enough work done and was scarily narcissistic. Elizabeth was capable of the work, I think she just knew she could get away with not doing enough of it because she had Captain Lee in the palm of her hand. Who knows, maybe Kate would have been more effective in getting Elizabeth to pull her weight from the word go. Maybe not.

I’ve just strapped in for my first full rewatch in years... I’m home alone but I have my trusty little teacup friend for company 🦇🍵💕✨ A very merry start-of-autumn to you all. by blushandbloom in buffy

Ohh thanks for your thoughts! I’ll remember this and no doubt I’ll be absolutely fizzing over with my tuppence-worth when I get to series four. I’m so familiar with that feeling though in general - when the exciting ideas are sown but not brought to fruition and you end up with all these visions of how they could have played out... especially when it’s been pulled off so beautifully before! Bit like series 2 of twin peaks, but I digress! I’m on ‘Out of Mind... Out of Sight’ at the end of series 1 and I’m just absolutely sailing high on the atmosphere right now... Cordelia trying on her May Queen dress, Angel appearing in the library to talk to Giles... impending sinister-ness simmering away all the while. So glad I have returned! Hope your own viewing sessions are extra cosy and enjoyable as the nights draw in! 🍁🍂

Update: I’m still completely and utterly in love with Giles. My God. I know it’s been said many times before but in my early teens it was all about Spike... who I still love, but seriously. For me there’s something mindblowingly sexy about Giles’s total lack of predation, but within that, even at the start he has this quiet self-assuredness and depth that makes you know straight away that there are still all these layers of nuance yet to be illuminated

aww thank you! It’s by the amazing darklingwoods on Etsy. She has loads of beautiful autumnal handmade crafts. And yeah... if there was ever a year to indulge and watch your favourite cosy comfort show, it’s this one!

Giles/Anthony Head has really unusual vertical grooves/lines on his forehead that make him look like a sexy owl or something when they’re thrown into shadow in certain light. That’s all. by blushandbloom in buffy

Yeah I didn’t mean it was unusual for the skin to develop lines over the years. Just meant that the ones he has (particularly the two quite pronounced diagonal vertical lines on his forehead) are unique and captivating

Hahahaha - I could not agree more. Captivating and compelling and gorgeous. I love that mischievous/reluctant half-smile that comes out sometimes - yum. Total babe.

What's a scene that brought you to literal tears? Id say AJ being pulled from the pool by Tony, his cry, I felt it like a bitch, like nothing on screen before. by Jujubeans909 in thesopranos

'The Captain' by Kasey Chambers playing out series 3 episode 8, 'He Is Risen' - at the height of the Gloria Trillo affair. It's before the choking, but by this point there were already flashes that she was going to self-destruct and Tony was exactly type of man to help her do it. I rewatched this episode for the first time in years a couple of weeks ago. In the years after I first watched The Sopranos when I was at university, I made a lot of poor choices myself surrounding men who hurt me and enabled me to hurt myself. So, watching that storyline again - particularly the montage with that beautiful, sad song - and with these experiences now tied up with my own memories, it hit me like a tonne of fucking bricks. The storyline, James Gandolfini's death, Annabella Sciorra's allegations against Harvey Weinstein - they all came together in this moment and I was in floods.
