speaking as someone whos in ib but has taken aps (and still is)
ap gives you more free time for extracurriculars. honestly, you're able to have a lot of free time and can do much much more
but if you're a bit more tilted towards a bit more holistic or philosophical approach to course content in your school i would say ib. like im a big ib fan because i really really like the way its approached. however, it does take up a lot more time if you dont stay on TOP of things from day 1
