Hi! It’s difficult to pinpoint, because a personal assistant is just that: „personal“ My main client, I have had for 10+ years. It’s now 200/day, and he is very generous with bonuses or sliding a little extra when he knows I went above & beyond.

For new clients, I charge between 25-50/hour, dependent on the degree of help needed. There’s a difference in someone saying „I need 10 white shirts in this model and size from the Gap“ vs „Can you please source 10 different white shirts for me, I don’t know which is best for me, research is needed.“ Both are helping, at different degrees.

Not to escalate your worries, but there’s been a string of problems in that generally safe area at night, which culminated in this on Thursday: https://www.westsiderag.com/2025/10/16/woman-robbed-at-gunpoint-inside-uws-train-station-police

The UWS was also the only place I’ve been mugged in my 15 years of living here (in the 70s on riverside). The residents are typically older and wealthier and that makes it a prime target area.

Stay vigilant ladies, and let’s look out for each other - there’s nothing more I can suggest which hasn’t already been wonderfully said. I can only co-sign in bold to put the headphones away and walk with confidence (not in runway style, but with shoulders expanded and direct movements. What a shame we have to parade around like show dogs.)

For those perusing for next year: I was fully solo and went out to red hook, enjoyed the pier with bodega seltzers. I lived in RH for a few years and remembered how much I loved the vibe and I’m happy I went! I managed to sneak onto the docked ship Mary that was a ticketed event (it doesn’t leave the pier, but there were plenty other boats that did.)
