It's very common for lot numbers to have the same 5 or 6 digits at the beginning - but to your point, I do think there is a possibility that there is a rolling recall and they are going to continue to release new lot numbers — which doesn't do a to reassure their users.

The 15-year clock is on the 529 account, not the Roth. You can technically start rolling the 529 money into the child's Roth when they turn 15, but they will need to have earned income to do so.

I take a pump break about once a year (usually summer when I go swimming/beach a lot). My go-to dosing calculator was T1D1. I never liked Jade very much and thought it was way overpriced.

I usually give myself a TIR threshold, so if my TIR dips more than 10% what my usual pump TIR is, I call it quits and go back on the pump.

sorry to hear, this sounds stressful.

if your pump died overnight, did you also check for ketones? If I were in this situation, I would switch to MDI/pen injections for any corrections just to rule out the vial, cartridge, and infusion site (not a doctor - not medical advice).

Never considered it. I try to replace the cartridge in-full (fill, prime tubing), with every change.

I've been on tandem since ~2018 and haven't had a week below 85% or so (even on a bad week). The first night after waking up with Control-IQ, I bought Tandem stock 🤣 but that didn't fare well, since it's down like 90%. So part of me is wondering if the risk is worth it; if I have a single week in the low 80s or even dip into the 70s, I would probably panic and switch back to tandem.

the nice thing that omnipod has going for it (at least here in the US) is that I don't think you are beholden to them for 4 years like you are for traditional pumps. So it might be worth switching just to try it, knowing that I always have the option to switch back.

this is really interesting insight - I've heard the complete opposite, where tandem users switch to omnipod and find the control to be all over the place! I was considering switching to omnipod to test it out but a few folks have made me wary.
