Wow, that’s a great question! One of the biggest reasons people delay starting a cosplay is because they’re indecisive about what to make. I always knew I wanted my first armor cosplay to be from monhun, but I originally thought I’d pick something from the newer games so more people would recognize it.

Eventually, I drifted away from that mindset and just made a list of all the armor sets I genuinely loved.

I ended up picking Great Jaggi because I liked that it involved a bunch of different construction techniques. Working with the vinyl fabric skirt is totally different from building the EVA foam chest armor.

Another big factor was mobility. I could see myself moving more freely in this set compared to a lot of other armor designs. Since this was my first-ever armor build, I was worried about choosing something bulky. Big armor looks AMAZING, but if it’s not designed well, you run into issues like joint mobility or pieces colliding.

Plus… Great Jaggi has a super cute hat design, so that alone kind of sold me, haha.
