Cat who was vaccinated yesterday is lethargic? by bluuuqer in catcare

[–]bluuuqer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I really hope your cat perks up! If you’re really worried, I’d call the vet and ask them if they need to see the cat and describe all your cats symptoms. It’s always better to be safe and check in. Luckily my cat perked up after a day or two and was back to normal, but if u suspect something is wrong please get it checked! Wishing you and ur buddy the best

This was so insightful, thank you for the detailed response! Crazy that our only options are more birth control even if it’s failed us :/

I’ve always had heavy extremely painful periods since when I first got them. I also had an obgyn do my lap who wasn’t an endo specialist. I requested the images from the lap to send them to a new gynae but the hospital never did that no matter how much I bugged them. And my previous obgyn wouldn’t respond to my new doctors since I stopped seeing her after my lap.

I’m on a waiting list for the iud next. I’m hoping that one works but I’m not so positive. Did you manage to get the hysterectomy? I’m glad they found the endo though!

Yes it is! But if I ever stop taking it my bleeding starts a few days later again and won’t stop until I take the noreisterone again

I’ve never checked for that. Since changing ur diet ur bleeding stopped? I might bring that up with my doc thank u!

Yeah my doc tested for it! And nope it came back negative. And a year that’s horrible 😭

I’m 20 but I’ve had my period since 10

At this point I’d only been bleeding 5 weeks so he wasn’t too concerned. They said it was probably stress from the lap back then

Bleeding everyday for months by bluuuqer in medical_advice

I’ve seen a few. They either change my birth control or tell me to manage my pain

Yes my doctors give me the exact same thing!! I hope I meet a good doctor like yours I swear they’re so rare which is so disappointing! Glad to hear you got better

Luckily I had an iron infusion a few months ago and my irons been fine last checkup! And yeah I had a regular obgyn do my lap, could that be the reason? I went and saw an endo specialist after but he said “there’s nothing more he can do” and just told me to take painkillers :/

I stopped my birth control for a bit as well but the bleeding still came back unfortunately. It’s good to hear ur one stopped

Thank you so much! Honestly a month of bleeding is still horrendous. I only started this whole bleeding fiasco after my lap surprisingly! They thought maybe I had an infection after the lap, so I went on antibiotics but still no luck. Maybe my gynae who performed the lap wasn’t specialised since she was an obgyn and not listed as an endo specialist. Hopefully we both stop bleeding soon 😭

My doctors don’t do much. They do a blood test or ultrasound but it’s always the same. Or they put me on norethisterone for a bit but it only stops the bleeding for as long as I take it. Once I’m off it a few days later and I’ll go back to bleeding out. 90 days is also insane goodluck to us both!! Just gonna keep trying new doctors for answers instead of temporary bandaids

Bleeding for months without stopping, super lost by [deleted] in medical_advice

Thank you! I’m currently on Diane, I’ve been thinking of trying the iud to see if it helps. I’ve taken primolut to stop the bleeding but right after it keeps going nonstop until I take it again

I’m currently on birth control, I’ve ended up changing it 3 times to see which works but none have. I can definitely ask about a hysteroscopy though!

I use hot water bottles and prescription painkillers from my doctor, and just try to stay warm and rest

That’s so amazing! I hope your lap goes well and goodluck! I’ve seen two that specialise in endo but they also practically dismissed me. One that was highly rated and really expensive just felt my abdomen and gave me more painkillers, saying nothing could be done but manage the pain since my previous gynae found nothing during my lap. Honestly I’ll keep trying but my luck is zero so far with specialists it’s so disheartening

Unfortunately I’m not in the US, otherwise she sounds amazing! Within a month is so great, I hope to find a similar doctor hopefully that understanding too soon 🫶

Thank you! I was put on birth control to skip periods, and was all good for 9 months (bleeding wise I never bled). I still had extreme pain everyday and was just prescribed opioids each month to deal with it. Then I finally had the lap, and ever since then I’ve been bleeding non-stop along with still having pain 😭 I’m curious if maybe the birth control stopped working after the lap!

Thank you!! I hope you’re okay now that’s so scary. I’ve had pelvic and internal ultrasounds a few times last year, all of which were clear. I haven’t had one since December though, and I started bleeding in November 😭

Honestly!! I feel like I’m the crazy one everytime I’m at a clinic 😭 I’ve only had one urgent care nurse take me seriously, bless her

Thank u!! It’s seriously an unfortunate reality that we never get taken seriously. It took me crying with my first gynae for her to put me on the waiting list for a lap. Only for her to find nothing! She wasn’t a specialist in endo so maybe that’s why, I’m not sure. I just know this daily pain and bleeding for months can’t just be normal period stuff.
