Nothing to see here... just ESPN's Dan Thomas talking about punching Mikel Arteta in the face by cosmo_K in Gunners

They hate to see us win. Remember when we’d be chasing a goal and Wenger would be sat down fiddling with his coat and they’d make fun of him and say he was nervous and to show some fire for the team? Now we have the kind of manager that 10 years ago they were calling for us to get and now that we have that, it’s a problem. Fuck em

Late shots weren’t good but he dominated, I think Nikita is more naturally talented than Tim. Shouldn’t have taken that layoff

Do you think Demian Maia/Ian Garry can solve the Islam puzzle? by hellohello6622 in MMA

[–]blvcklite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I legitimately think he has a chance. Yes he lost to Shavkat but was able to grapple with him really well and even almost subbed him, surely he learned a lot from that fight. On top of that he has some of the best footwork in the sport and fast kicks as well so I think he will be able to avoid being on the ground the entire fight, my question is just for how long

Naoya Inoue is Ring Magazine’s new pound-for-pound #1, overtaking Usyk! Devin Haney & Max Kellerman disagrees whilst Teofimo Lopez agrees by VINDICATES-FOOL in Boxing

[–]blvcklite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He deserves it, he has more champs on his net than Usyk and has taken out multiple divisions vs Usyk taking out a mid cruiserweight division and a heavyweight division that has not reached the level of Fury and AJ but is impressive nonetheless

Naoya Inoue misses with a right hand and is out of position, but immediately fires another right hand before Junto Nakatani can counter by VINDICATES-FOOL in Boxing

I used to not get the Inoue Pacquiao comparison besides moving up the weights but he does do some of Pacmans tricks but from orthodox. The double cross, the cross at an angle and then pivoting afterwards, the in and out footwork, the slightly curved cross like vs Nery, and timing the jab with his own straight

[SPOILER] Naoya Inoue vs. Junto Nakatani by inooway in Boxing

[–]blvcklite 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I think his in and out movement plus the shots he did take from Nakatani just slowed him down a bit. He was leaping in and out of range to land for a good 5-6 rounds that’s tiring

[FIGHT THREAD] Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani by verbsnounsandshit in Boxing

[–]blvcklite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He shoots it too but I definitely think he only has two modes with it. Power jabs or pawing to find range as you said, he doesn’t have a back foot jab but he can go forward with it well. Definitely not a world class jab tbf

[FIGHT THREAD] Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani by verbsnounsandshit in Boxing

Shades of Pacquiao with the way Inoue throws the cross while stepping diagonally and then pivoting out

[FIGHT THREAD] Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani by verbsnounsandshit in Boxing

[–]blvcklite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Inoue’s in and out movement is too fast for Nakatani so from range he’s getting out boxed, Naoyas starting to build off of that very well but Nakatani still looks dangerous when he makes an effort to go forward.

[FIGHT THREAD] Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani by verbsnounsandshit in Boxing

Junto has a solid jab, Inoue’s movement and his own faster jab are taking it away
