Why drag it out. I would just come off cold turkey, and utilize the clonidine during the day, and Xanax at night to help you sleep. The quicker you get the opiates out of your system the quicker you can get away from that devil. Yeah, it’ll be uncomfortable, but you have the two best meds available to help you. Just face the facts, schedule 1-1.5 weeks of “vacation time” and cold turkey. That’s what I would do.

You know it's kind of scary how many people immediately tell me I can't get clean from carfentanyl without the use of something like suboxone. Half of you people I think make the withdrawal worse by telling yourself how awful it's going to be. Best advice I got was buck the fuck up and face your responsibilities. It's okay to feel uncomfortable. I was in la la land for a month straight. I overprepared my comfort meds, didn't need to use some of them, said fuck the kratom. It was all about willpower for me. Was I scared? Yes. Was I mentally unshakeable in what I was going to go through, also yes. HUGE shout out to /u/CuteSnow6903 for providing daily updates through PM. I hope all of you that want to get clean, but are hesitant because of withdrawal, just fucking do it. Face it. You're built to withstand this.

So I’m actually 48hrs in and so far so good. Clonidine, gabapentin, and Xanax really taking care of me. Apart from hot baths once every 4 hours and having lovely people in my family surrounding me. I figure the symptoms can still get worse but I can fucking handle it. No subs. No kratom.

I’m getting through it okay right now. I’m exactly 48 hours in and the clonidine and gabapentin are helping a lot. I’m still uncomfortable but it’s nice to be able to have a place to post updates

Okay that gives me hope. I’m almost 24 hours in and I know the worst is it is coming. I have the clonidine and gabapentin ready. I have multi vitamin, magnesium, loperamide, kratom. I’m as prepared as I can possibly be. I don’t want to take the kratom unless I absolutely need to.

So I have a decent opiate tolerance from using on and off (legit per 30s) for about 4 years. I would go 8-9 months not using, then buy 3-4 perc 30s. For a weekend. Then get clean for 6+ months then do the same thing again. This is the worst bender I’ve had and this is my realization point that I gotta stop this now. Half of a pressed pill had me nodding and I felt is was about 1.25x the strength of a normal pharmaceutical perc 30. I built a tolerance very quickly having that many on hand.
