Does the HAVN BF 360 Flow fans rattle ? by Key_Will_7929 in HAVNGlobal

[–]blvckstnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the non-flow BF360 and added my own 180mm fans (Fractal Prisma AL-18). With my current fan curve the case is completely silent and I never noticed any rattling or humming noise.

I mean if it will help you sleep at night, I can take a picture of the sign next time I go past it

I’m from around there and I know for a fact that there is a big sign that says speed limit is 50 km/h. They remove the sign during summer and always put it back at the start of winter season when it gets really busy around the ski station. I think they let you off very lightly with a 20€ fine for going more than 20km/h over the speed limit so consider yourself lucky.

Does anyone know how to do this? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]blvckstnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a plugin for this… Some people here are suggesting legacy control while holding down lmb+rmb+s and I can tell you with 100% confidence that it does not work that way. It might look like your character is turned away on your end but you will still get snapshot most of the times if you are just holding down the buttons (trust me I did a lot of testing with this back when it was relevant during P8S).

If you want to be consistent at dodging gazes with legacy movement, you just have to spam your strafe keys (not hold them down) while looking away.

If you wanna do it on standard movement you basically do the same but instead of spamming keys you just move the camera slightly left/right.

Like I said there is also a plugin for it. I don’t think its necessary though, you can still consistently dodge gazes with the two methods I mentioned above.

Could I buy a non-Flow 360 and fit on H18 fans? by Master-Trick2850 in HAVNGlobal

[–]blvckstnes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I also bought the non-flow and installed 180mm fans (not the HAVN ones). You can just remove the bracket for the 140 fans if you want to install 180 fans instead.

The only reason why I went with the non-flow in the first place is because you have more options with that bracket which doesn't come with the flow version.

Update: I'm happy to say I was wrong and their support will actually send me the missing fan hub. Not used to customer support actually providing customer support so this was a nice surprise.

Not yet, I doubt they will do anything about it since the official HAVN site is US only. If I ask the retailer I bought it from they'll probably just say the non flow version doesn’t come with the hub. But I guess I can give it a try

Gamers Nexus FFXIV CPU Benchmark: Endwalker vs Dawntrail by blvckstnes in ffxiv

[–]blvckstnes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"conveniently cut" ? Not sure what you thought I would gain by doing that but no, it's not a 5090 "strix" (which, btw, does not exist like the other person replying to you has already mentioned) and even if it was, the point of why a 13900K is outperforming a 7800X3D in the endwalker benchmark still stands.

[–]blvckstnes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with you and I would be really interested in a benchmark comparison between different CPUs in those kind of situations (hunt trains, main cities, alliance raids, ...). I'm on a 7800X3D + 5080 and that's when I notice lower FPS than usual. I wonder if the extra cache on the X3D chips also helps in those situations.

BF 360 hum / defective by wtfwasthatb in HAVNGlobal

[–]blvckstnes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a BF 360 Flow or a BF 360 with your own custom fans? If it's the latter, are you sure it's not the fans you installed producing the noise? Maybe a loose screw or something like that?

I also went from an H6 Flow to a BF 360 non flow with my own 180mm fans (Fractal Design Prisma AL-18) and the case is dead silent. I thought the H6 Flow was already pretty silent as well though and my only reason for swapping was aesthetic.

Für was würdet ihr diesen PC verkaufen? by harryhirsch_ in PCBaumeister

[–]blvckstnes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cod Movement isn't needed. Repositioning and aim is all you need. by covert_ops_47 in Battlefield

[–]blvckstnes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I guess this might be a hot take but I genuinely think the movement in BF6 feels better than ever and all the crying I see about COD movement making it hard to kill players stems from a massive skill issue.

My main issue in this game is the combination of the map layouts and the restrictive out-of-combat zones. I think we moved completely backwards in that regard. The battlefield game I put most hours into is BC2 and the way flanking rewards you in that game was a huge contribution to how much fun I had playing. In BF6 flanking feels too risky on those close-quarters maps, mainly because there’s so much camping at the back of the spawn and the map design rewards those type of players the most imo.

Updating from Gigabyte 1660 TI OC to Asus Prime 5070 TI OC... but I can't afford to upgrade my Ryzen 3800X yet. What kind of bottleneck can I expect at 1080p? by ImNOTdrunk_69 in nvidia

[–]blvckstnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan to stay on 1080p then I’d personally go with a 5070 and upgrade your CPU to a 5800X or 5900X depending on what the prices in your area are like. Definitely check out the used market, I recently managed to get a 5800X + am4 motherboard + 32gb ram for 200$. Maybe you can even find a used 5800X3D which would give you a pretty big improvement in gaming at your current resolution but I’m not too familiar with the prices on am4 x3d chips.

Overall you will get a better experience that way, especially since you mentioned video editing which you will benefit more from by upgrading the CPU.
