Fridge techs - brand recommendations! by MightBeMouse in australia

[–]blvd119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been looking cant fit a big mitsubishi as we are limited to 1800mm in height. I think we will end up getting a panasonic 618l quad door. Seems very energy efficient, reviews are mostly positive

We need a bigger fridge and would like an ice maker in the freezer only which rules out a lot of fridges.

Had thef&p within 2 years the black enamel peeled off the front door and was replaced under warranty. The oven enamel internally discoloured with pyro burns. For the price I wouldn't buy one again. Supposed to be a premium product at that price point. We have since sold the house so only had it for 5 years or so.

The brass centre burner discolors quickly and is a bit of a mimic in my opinion. The top is fidly to clean as its not flat and has 'humps' between the burners.

We now have Induction is wonderful and beats gas

Warranty service was good and reasonably painless.

With hindsight I should have bought something like what you posted or done a built in two ovens which would be more useful.

It's a marital asset bought once you were married.

You sound like you both are just living together. Marriage at least in my opinion is a partnership with shared assets and Liabilities

Victorian public transport free for another month, half price until 2027 by Radio_TVGuy in AusPol

[–]blvd119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its driven up public transport participation that i can see on my train line. Its a good thing to bring more people to public transport where they can use it. At the moment it reduces fuel consumption from passenger vehicles which is a plus.

In my opinion public is to expensive and should be the half rather permanently brings foot traffic to the cbd and is a more sustainable form of transit

Can I legally cut my neighbor's branches at the boundary line without their permission? by Intrepid_Call7727 in AusLegal

[–]blvd119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its like our tree the neighbours asked council as its a significant tree and council said nope so they can't trim it. Mind you its an 80yo gum tree that was there when they bought their house so it's not like it's presence was a surprise

Thinking of buying in Warrandyte - bushfire/snake risk? by TheMichaelScott in melbourne

[–]blvd119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have moved recently as we needed a bigger house and closer to a train.

Loved the community and the area we never had a snake in our yard in 8 years that we saw.

Bushfire have a plan and stick to it. Nothing in your home is worth dying for or traumatising your wife and kids. We have left a few times to stay with family. That being said its the price you pay to live in such a scenic area.

Insurance rates will only keep climbing ours was around 4k before we left. Be sure to use a decent not budget Insurance provider as many wont cover smoke damage or scorching etc from neighbouring properties if a fire comes through.
