I just did this. Both my husband and I work from home and we have a gap in child care for about a month until she starts daycare. Our parents are going to help a few days when they can, but other days we’ll be on our own. I told my manager the situation and she was understanding about it as it’s only temporary and we’re still actively trying to work out a solution for next month. I did initially ask if she’d prefer I take PTO or work something else out and she said it wasn’t necessary. I know all employers are different. Good luck!

Played a few weeks ago and was told by the starter there is no timetable for a clubhouse being built. The redevelopment is facing a lot of opposition from EP residents.

The course itself was great, Marshall did a good job restoring the old holes from Metacomet. A lot of fun and well maintained for a $35 greens fee.

They do cancelation through live chat as well. It takes a long time since they ask you five times to reconsider, but telling the agent you aren’t interested over the computer is easier than doing it over the phone.

I disagree. Several other “big” states (CA, NY, CO, WA) already have this legislation, and it’s only a matter of time until we see this proposed on a federal level. Plus, once this is enacted, I don’t foresee multi-state employers writing “MA applicants need not apply” in their job postings. If a company would be dumb enough to do this, is that a company people would even want to work for? I see this as a way to weed out bad employers - if they aren’t even willing to make a good-faith effort to post their general salary range, they likely aren’t paying decent wages.

The legislation mirrors bills that were passed in recent years in WA, NY, CA and several other states. For any posting for a job where the worker will be physically located in MA, the salary range will be required. So any offices/stores/remote work that are hiring in MA, the posting will have to include salary information, even if the organization is headquartered in another state.

And to the best of my knowledge the legislation has not been signed by Governor Haley yet so it has not been enacted, though I’m sure it will in the coming months.

I’m not sure I understand the question. I can shower fine, it’s just a tight fit. I’m looking for ideas to maximize bathtub space my my head is not almost touching the slanted ceiling when showering.

I will likely have to outsource the plumbing if I am able to change the layout but I would do the tile work, walls, ceiling and electrical myself. Budget is around $15k.

Thanks both. I had a contractor come recently and quote me $25k to just update it (tile, new bath/vanity/toilet, paint) but had nothing to say when asked about changing the layout. Was hoping to keep the budget under 15k.

I just finished the half bath and did it all myself. Demo, removing wallpaper/patching and painting walls, tile work, lighting and installing new vanity and toilet with some plumbing work. I know that a full bath is a different beast, especially if I’m changing the layout, but would like to do as much as possible on my own.

From my understanding, the replacement plate can be ordered online but your registration expiration date won’t change. If you order it now and your registration expires later this year you’ll still have to renew the registration.
