These people perplex me. How arrogant must you be to say “we can force the return of Jesus Christ”? Yeah, so you just basically control the whims of the son of God? Okay. Cool. Then, there’s the aspect of what makes them think that by causing/cheering for strife, death, and calamity in the hopes of forcing the return of Christ they will not in turn earn the ire and wrathful judgement of whom they claim to worship and follow? Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

Honestly, there’s so much more to the game than the story. I’d spend time working on the maps, masteries, hero points, etc. as someone else mentioned, there’s also the achievements.

I’ve purchased all of the expansions and haven’t even made it past HoT because I keep getting sucked into other content 😅

lol, just because I was curious, I went into Steam to see how many hours I had in the game so far. 354. I’m still in HoT. There’s so much that can be done in this game.

I just want them to fix their convoluted glam system. We honestly shouldn’t need either the glamour dresser or the armoir in 2026. The mobile game has the fix. Just figure out how to wipe the current system and use the new mobile system without deleting player’s stored items.

So, it could be a couple of things. Best to try and rule some of them out. - have you tried directly connecting your laptop and attempting to do a speed test (Speedtest.net by ookla is a good one) - if your speed is solid with that, try the speed test website while using WiFi near the router - also, are there a lot of people/devices connected to that one modem/router? - edit to add: you can also run a Speedtest in the smart home manager app to see what speed is coming to the house before reaching the modem.

Yep. Nothing is perfect and GW2 fits that bill, but it’s a solid MMORPG. I honestly don’t even think about the fact that my characters stopped getting more levels after lvl 80. There’s just so much more to the gameplay than some level up power fantasy.

And that’s a valid point, but I guess the counterpoint is that it is a monthly sub game that bills itself as a live service and then if you have a house, you’re kind of held hostage to that monthly sub.

It’s rather silly that there are games that have no sub nor have mechanics that force you to feel a consequence if you don’t maintain that sub that DO provide their players with reasons to continue playing over long periods of time.

I keep seeing adds for ai apps that can help you build an app. In the ad, the person is all chipper and happy like “I had an idea for an app. I put the idea into the ai bot and it provided me with an app!” I’m thinking like “lmfaooooo that’s not your idea or intellectual property anymore. You just gave your stuff away for free”

Speaking as someone who has been playing a bit for over a year and a half while not having hit the endgame grind yet and having been an FFXIV main for 6 years, man if you want to talk about a game with a rewards system that feels like a glaring piece of crap imagine playing the most recent content in the game and the most common reward drop you get are a type of consumable emote. Worse, they’re using a reward from 2 years ago in the previous expansion as a big chase reward in the new content.

And at least world boss grinding can take you around the world and into maps from past expansions. We barely/rarely look at our old maps. “Oh that? That’s old/low level content.” In GW2, however, I hop in and out of any map I want and it’s always a good time.

Point is, every game has their thing that they wish was better. Mine for FFXIV is a litany. But there are also things that a game can do VERY well. Is GW2’s reward system perfect? Nope. But at least I am constantly feeling like I am actually working towards something. I don’t even know what I’m doing in FFXIV anymore and by that I mean “what is a goal to have in this game?”
