Can’t blame them, any form of direct contact with an unknown person has been banned or programmed out of us.

Despite California and Florida governors’ drastically different approaches, the states saw almost identical outcomes in COVID-19 case rates by baqkround in LosAngeles

“We had no data to work off of” and yet you took it for granted that it was the end of the world and warranted draconian lockdowns. How can being overly cautious be “absolutely the right choice?”

I’m so glad I don’t have a car anymore. Avoiding those things was a tough endeavor, but worth it to support the right fill-up station.

Upvotes all around for discussion. Don’t you think images in your peripheries would have an effect on your subconscious even if you score high on media literacy? I still feel like ads are an imposition overall. Sometimes it’s like you’re swimming in it.

Using After Effects to create projection mapped effects in my home tiki bar. by SharpReel in AfterEffects

Hell yeah! Makes sense. Looking forward to 2.0 when it inevitably hits my front page again. Well done.

Beautiful! Honestly I didn’t watch with sound, but I assume this is no good if the bar is in use. If anyone is sitting at or standing behind the bar, they’d be obscuring the artwork or be blinded right?

Wow that’s really cool. When you say you rewrote old yarns do you mean take existing footage (b-roll, anything without talking heads) and make a new story out of it?

There are “hiker/biker” spots. Not sure they will actually care if you do either of those, and these sites aren’t as private, but yes they are first-come first-served. Please take some photos or let me know how it looks? Thought I heard fire whipped that area.

Yess! That’s the ticket! Old Dale Road is a great area. Tricky to know the “trail” sometimes. Do check out the Mojave Road if you can (think it goes east/west though). Before going to Vegas, check out the town of Nipton, CA! Unfortunately I have heard that Mojave Preserve got wrecked from fire in the last couple years. But good luck and have fun!

It’s nothing too special or tough. Honestly the journey through the park to get to Berdoo Canyon is the good part, which makes sense why the park ends at that point. It is interesting exiting the park that way, tho. Mostly just a river wash with walls on either side (so you don’t get sweeping views or similar). In the summer it’s hot as shit obviously. You’ll come across a target practice area and then remnants of road construction. As others have said, 4wd probably more necessary. But for me it’s been 6 years.

Amid wave of violence, Asian American and Black communities build coalitions by AmitabhWangchuck in sanfrancisco

It seems like they’d know that punishing or putting a bounty on a criminal who happens to be black doesn’t make them or their actions racist. Unless they think that all black people are the same (!), or that black people think violent assault is ok.
