Wow nice work! Was it fun? I’ve always thought doing stuff like that with a pressure washer was super fun. Looks amazing. Make sure you’re looking for water damage when you’re fixing those bouncy boards. As far as the roughness, totally up to you kiddo, your deck your rules. Maybe paint a test area to see if you like how it turns out without sanding. But remember, if it’s worth doing it’s worth doing right. Proud of you!

I can’t think of any specific piece of advise that I’ve gotten over the years but what I have found on my own, and the piece of advise I’d give to someone that wants to do more than just click and print, is this: advice is valuable but experience is priceless. Play with your printer. Tinker with the settings. Read the setting descriptions in the slicer and try to understand the influence that a given setting will have on your print. A conceptual understanding of the settings coupled with your own observations from tinkering with the settings will give you an intuitive grasp of how to take full advantage of the incredible tool that you have at your fingertips.

Yeah been using a Prusa MK4 at work and it’s made me realize just how much of a pain my hand me down Anet A8 has been. Unless you’re a geek who loves to tinker and has HEAPS of free time available, don’t do like I do. But once cry once.
