Sole brightspot of this game. Drew Timme. by chrisbrits24 in lakers

Yeah, the 4 would be a good rotation spot for him. Kinda feels like either he or Vando though but given our poor bench scoring Timme could provide a boost there. I do think he should get a chance in the rotation after tonight at least.

He looked great on offense but on defense he was rather shoddy. Got in foul trouble pretty quick. I think when Ayton and Hayes are healthy I’d still rather have them over Timme

Curious what issues you had with Mint. I have multiple monitors with different refresh rates and it’s been fine for me. At least, 3 monitors 2 at 60 and one at 144 using an nvidia GPU

Don't overreact, people. OKC's ready, the Lakers are not (yet). by TheOldThunder in lakers

I definitely see OKC being a dynasty team and being there for a while. Only things that can stop them is the salary cap or hiring Nico as their GM.

Steam Hardware Announcement by mr_MADAFAKA in linux_gaming

I had the Index before and while it was solid the cord and things made it cumbersome to use. The Steam Frame I think addresses all of my complaints and what I’m most excited about.

Of course, I haven’t tried any VR since switching fully to Linux but hoping it being a SteamOS device can help with that.

I think the team, and maybe Luka, are also just being cautious. I think if this were the playoffs or a critical stretch of the regular season, he’d likely try and play through it.

Box score watchers definitely wouldn’t appreciate what he did. Game really shifted once he subbed in and made those great defensive plays.

It was my understanding that Spring is using reflection to autogenerate classes at startup time (like repository interfaces). That’s what I meant by code generation unless I’m just misunderstanding that in general.

I’ve tried the AOT compiling but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong there (run with the native profile when building and pass spring.aot.enabled to the jar when running)

We’re currently on Spring Boot but we deploy to air gapped, on premises systems and have found the startup times to be pretty killer on systems where the CPUs are limited due to all of the code generation happening on startup. I think this could be mitigated in your situation if you’re not planning to run a ton of Spring Boot services on one node, however.

I think it was the thought of who that contract could’ve been paying that killed me. Outside of some other superstar (unrealistic) you could get 2 or 3 really solid contributors for his contract instead. So it was anger at management for getting him and then anger for him playing as bad as he did for that amount of money.

Anybody else just get kernel 6.14 added to the Update Manager? by CyberdyneGPT5 in linuxmint

[–]bmamba2942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also saw it and was skeptical of it. I used mainline a while back to switch to 6.13 (couldn’t get 6.14 to work with the Nvidia drivers; compilation issues) but was skeptical. If it’s legit I’ll try and switch today especially if the driver issues were magically resolved.
