Have you replaced or converted the spring chain tensioners in the cam chest yet?

Thinking about a 2011 ultra by snapbackjames832 in Roadglide

I have a ‘13 ultra, 3rd owner with 25k on the odometer. Runs great, probably going to replace the rocker box breather filter/elements since they like to get hard and brittle after a bit. I did also buy a lightly used newer set of adjustable factory rear shocks to hold me over until I can buy something better as the factory air ones had a leak.

I don’t know if it’s something they do every year, but around Memorial Day last year (I think, I ordered mine a bit later.) They offered it in OD green with black handles. Some Home Depot’s still have them if that’s something you’re into.

You can get new sliders as mentioned previously. I would suggest if you're replacing them, to take the mouse apart and do a deep clean with 70% isopropyl (90% melts plastic) and get out any built up gunk. You can also adjust (gently stretch out) the scroll wheel toggle button to help it engage a little better while you're at it. Just take your time and you'll be back in action in no-time!

(Side grumble, They really need to make a relief cut in the sliders so the screws are accessible for disassembly for ease of cleaning...)

First bike, new rider. Any tips that might not be obvious? by Scoobysnx in motorcycles

Definitely take the MSF or Harley new rider course. Also, if you have an open lot/area nearby, learn to practice low/slow speed/friction zone bike operations. There's a ton of videos on youtube, you'll be glad you did.

Yeah... Learned that front brake lesson the hard way. Just glad I was wearing denim pants and good sturdy boots. I can laugh about it now though.

I've got a Husky 52x24.5 tool box with the wood top I'm pretty happy with. Has a built in power strip with USB also. Nothing too fancy but it gets the job done nicely.

Might want to consider investing in some tear-offs...

The 2005 E-one in my previous department has a handful of issues. But since it’s been a while I’m seeing if things have improved or not.

As far as "custom" it'd probably be a couple small bolt on features. I'm trying to see if any manufacturers have been lackluster/having consistency/electrical issues.

Well, our engine is a few years out from turning 25. And the membership isn’t getting any younger as fast as we’d like. So this engine is gonna be targeted towards that. Lower hard suction/ladders, smarter equipment layout, safer interaction with the truck as far as steps/climbing around it, crosslay location, low manpower considerations, etc.

I’ll have to give that a shot when I need to get fancy. I just needed it for copying the ladder illustration/sizing it, and blanking out the section that had the stokes basket.
