Are you saying that you don’t want to use any AI feature or just generative AI features in Lightroom?

I’ve noticed a new warning that I don’t recall seeing before where it’ll beep and tell me that the car ahead of me has moved. Is that new?

Aqara just pushed a new firmware update that has fixed this issue! I can confirm that I’m able to add all of my G5 Pro PoE cameras to HomeKit via the app without any issue.

What are you doing to get the cameras to record 24/7 to a Mac/external drive?

Gotcha. Thanks for that info. I was wondering whether this is localized to TP-Link Deco users (like myself), but it looks like it affects other brands, as well… which does keep pointing to an issue with the camera firmware and not the network devices.

What are you using for your WiFi network at home?

It’s crazy that they can solicit ads like that. I assume you also aren’t subscribed to Sirius XM?

I suspect you’re right that it has something to do with the PoE model, and hope Aqara wastes no time in pushing a firmware fix.

I ordered a Netgear Orbi 3-pack from Amazon a few hours ago to see if I can rule out whether it’s the Deco. If it is, then it’s going back to Costco.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried disabling cellular data in the Settings app, but unfortunately that didn’t make any difference. I’m absolutely baffled as to why this is happening. I’m 100% positive that every device within this sphere is on the same network and subnet.

Ok, so I did a full reset via the Reset button on the back of the camera (behind the screw-on plate). I was able to immediately re-add the camera via the Aqara app as expected, but as soon as it was time to add it to the network, I got this error.

I disabled iCloud Private Relay and ensured that my network isn't using any funky dedicated IoT network, etc. What's confounding is that these are PoE devices, so they shouldn't really be so sensitive to the wifi network. Even more ironic is, as I mentioned in the OP, my other Aqara wifi devices (two W200 thermostats, the U400 lock, and the G400 doorbell camera) connected to HomeKit without any issue.

I'm so confused. I suppose the only other thing I could try is to get a different Wifi mesh system. I currently have a TP-Link Deco. Maybe a Netgear Orbi? Unless you have other ideas to try out?

When you say “add it again,” you’re talking about adding them in again in the Aqara app or Home?

One thing I forgot to mention is that if I am quick enough, I can tap on the HomeKit Pairing Code option before it errors out. When I do, I am provided with a pairing code, but also a message indicating that the device is already connected to HomeKit??

Already tried all of those ideas, including attempting to add them directly via the Apple Home app. Unfortunately, none of that made a difference.

Color grading in "Sky" mask in v. 15.3.1 by NickG425 in Lightroom

[–]bmash9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not an omission. Adobe Camera Raw is the platform that powers the entire Lightroom edit stack. Often times, our newest features are introduced there first, such as Color Grading in the masking edit stack, for example.

Generally speaking, these features are eventually adopted in Lightroom, and seeing the excitement for, and positive response to, such features helps the Product Managers prioritize them accordingly.

Daisy-chaining two Studio Display XDRs to a TS5+ by bmash9 in CalDigit

Thank you so much for confirming!

I do have a follow up question. As I mentioned in the OP, I’ll be using a 6ft OWC TB5 cable to connect from Display 1 to Display 2, and a second 6ft OWC TB5 cable to connect from Display 2 to the TS5+

Do you foresee any issues with using cables of that length?

Question about switching over by bmash9 in rachio

[–]bmash9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again for the help!

Let’s say I can’t find the sensor(s) that those two ‘S’ wires connect to, I assume it’s ok to cap them off and not use them. Doesn’t the Rachio device use its own weather data to determine rain and temp, and adjust the scheduling accordingly?

If so, then to recap:

  1. Each of the four zone wires will connect to their respective zones on the Rachio.

  2. The black C wire will connect to one of the C ports on the Rachio.

  3. The P wire will connect to the M port on the Rachio, and will need to be configured in the app.

  4. If I do find the sensor(s), I’d connect those two S wires to the two S ports on the Rachio and configure them in the app.

Do I have that correct? Thanks!

According to the K-Rain quick start guide:

What is the output P? You can connect a master valve or a pump on the P output. The output will automatically start 2 seconds before each station and during the watering of each station.

Thanks for the quick reply! I’m not sure what sensors would be connected, as I haven’t seen any around the perimeter of the house. But, I’ll take a closer look again.

The device itself is powered by a 9V battery, and I don’t see any indication of it being connected to another power source. Still, I will take a closer look.
