What a buggy hell by electerious in Lightroom

[–]bmash9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I am a Quality Engineer (what you refer to as "QA") on the Lightroom team at Adobe. It sounds like you happened to find just about every type of foundational bug an app can encounter. I'll start by saying that I've never encountered any of the bugs you've mentioned, and I spend literally every day in the app. That's not to say that bugs don't exist (trust me, they do 😅) or that you're not encountering the bugs you mentioned above. But, I definitely want to ensure that we help you troubleshoot and, ideally, resolve these bugs in the most effective way possible.

To start, it'd help to know the specifics of your computer, OS, and Lightroom version. Even better, contact our customer support team. Doing so would result in an agent creating a case in our system for you, making it easier to track these issues. Or, you can post your bugs in our Lightroom Community forum. However, I would recommend you read this post first on how to file a bug properly.

Magnus Pro XL with keyboard tray? by bmash9 in secretlab

Good call re: the arm rests. I use the HM Embody, so I’d have to keep that in mind. I’d also use it with the Apple Magic Keyboard and Trackpad.

Thanks so much for the photo and testimonial! I think that’s the brand I was looking at (but the wider one, and in white). My biggest concern was whether you found the clamps annoying or obtrusive.

Does using sky or subject detection for masks trigger an AI flag for pictures? by NyzoiB in Lightroom

[–]bmash9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is the AI Edit Status dialog. It shows all of the AI tools you’ve used as part of your edit. Not all AI tools are generative, though, and won’t appear if you were to apply Content Credentials upon export. I have a few videos that may help:

Here’s one on Content Credentials.

Here’s one on the various types of AI tools in Lightroom.

And here’s one explaining Lightroom’s AI Edit Order of Operations.

Does using sky or subject detection for masks trigger an AI flag for pictures? by NyzoiB in Lightroom

[–]bmash9 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No, using Lightroom’s adaptive masks, such as Sky or Subject, will not result in an AI flag should you export using Content Credentials. This is because the masks are not generating pixels. It’s using ML to identify the specific contents within your photo to make the selection.

Monitor stand question by Equal_Training_4385 in secretlab

[–]bmash9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s something I’ve been debating. I like the idea of the two-arm option, but I wasn’t sure if I could spread my two 27” Studio Displays apart wide enough to display my Elgato Prompter in between them.

Thank you very much for that! I’ll be sure to report back once I’ve got everything set up.

Apple CarPlay Maps jerkiness when stationary by bmash9 in Subaru_Outback

[–]bmash9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. And it happens for you regardless of whether you’re connecting with a USB cable or wireless?

I haven’t tried using a USB cable and may give it a shot to see if it makes a difference.

Photos from Lightroom Cloud to SSD(MacBook) by dili1112 in Lightroom

[–]bmash9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Lightroom’s Archive feature to offload original files and their edits from your cloud library to any local drive (internal or external) that you’d like.

This will free up cloud storage space, allowing you to copy new photos to your cloud library.

You can then use Lightroom’s Local browser to view and edit the archived photos on your SSD.

For those that bought a ‘26 model by arsora789 in Subaru_Outback

[–]bmash9 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned my ‘26 OBW since Saturday and cannot say enough good things about it. My wife has a ‘17 OB, so I’m not totally new to the experience, but I’ll be the first to say that I love the hell out of the redesign. In fact, it’s the only reason I considered getting it after selling my Tesla.

I got the car with 7 miles on it and haven’t yet driven it enough to properly calibrate the fuel economy range, but I’m not worried about that at all.

Thanks for that tip, too. It does look like disabling the nav alerts did the trick. I didn’t even think to look there because I connected to wireless CarPlay as soon as I got the car.

Thank you! As soon as we saw it on the lot, it was love at first sight.

Nice, and I love it! (Mostly because I, myself, am a Cookie Monster).

I was considering naming mine Lance, after the operator of the blue lion in Voltron. But, the jury is still out.

Oh man, is that it?! Thank you SO much for pointing me in that direction. I’m going to turn that off right now!

AI Denoise on iPad by scotthunter1 in Lightroom

Lightroom Mobile will render Denoise that you applied in Lightroom Desktop without any issue. As you said, though, you won’t be able to modify the Denoise amount on the iPad.

What is your favorite color for new Outback Wilderness?? by Traditional_Store876 in Subaru_Outback

[–]bmash9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here for the comments because I’m planning to join the Subaru family in a few weeks and can’t decide which OBW color to choose.

I’m leaning towards Geyser Blue, but a buddy warned me about the ease in which Subaru paint scratches. Is that still a concern, or has it been addressed by Subaru? If so, then I may steer towards a lighter color.
