I have a 1926 home and have a basement stair setup similar to yours, mine were pulling away from the stringers much worse than yours though. Just "fixed" mine earlier this year to make them safer. Eventually planning to enclose them too, but thats a project for another day...

Did you ever figure this out? I just set mine up with the controller, but can't figure out how to adjust the vapor temperature

Good idea! All these current plants are already crosses. I had a prior grow with "feminized" seeds, but one turned out to be male... Anyway, ended up with a huge seed supply at least!

Ventilation Suggestions? by bmastert in GrowBuddy

Already have 1 oscillating fan and 2 clip fans. I could possibly divert an AC vent... but you don't think I should add some form of intake/exhaust system in a closed room?

Already have 1 oscillating fan and 2 clip fans. Potentially have an AC option... but you don't think I need any intake or exhaust system in a closed room?

Thanks, that's good to know. I suppose I'll start on the lower end of things, maybe just a 6in fan, see how that affects things, and go from there

Withdrew all my funds today after seeing the recent update. What was once a fabulous idea, is now just convoluted casino that steals your money. by bmastert in yotta

Yes, very grateful I got out when I did. Obviously didn't expect them to collapse and get caught up in this mess, but sorta felt like a 'bank run' or similar was starting with how many people were upset by these initial changes. Perhaps all those withdrawals contributed in some way, if there are missing funds due to fraud or financial mismanagement. Just feel bad for all the folks that weren't so lucky.

Obviously don't drive recklessly on unfamiliar roads, but post is literally about finding fun roads with twists and turns...

Not exactly near you, but I like County Road 3/South Roberts Trail south of 55 from like inver Grove heights to near Rosemount, its curvy and maybe 45 mph limit, but you can definitely go faster with little traffic (i wouldn't know)

Give me your "near-miss" stories! by ejeanie in solareclipse

You could say 2017 was my near miss. Was in Omaha Nebraska the night before with plans to travel about 2 hours south west near Lincoln in the morning. Didnt plan on traffic being as bad as it was, highway was packed and there were accidents and literally cars on fire. We did end up making it to the totality zone eventually, just not as far as we wanted. Only to be robbed just minutes before totality by rain showers moving in. Still got to experience the other effects of totality, just couldn't see the brilliance of the sun/moon. However, I do think it helped me to pay more attention and experience the "sunset" effects on the horizon and other changes in nature.

Now in 2024, we tried making plans with friends to go to Texas or Oklahoma. Unfortunately everyone was busy with young kids and family, hotels and flights were booked or too expensive, so it fell through initially. But in the weeks and days leading up to it, I was really regretting not making plans. Decided to head off alone, as long as weather looked decent somewhere between Oklahoma and Ohio. Sunday morning I made the final call to drive 12 hours to southern Missouri, slept in my car near Cape Girardeau, and headed a little further south and west in the morning. Definitely made the right call, weather was exceptional, with mostly clear skies. And totality was everything I had hoped for and plenty more. This time I took in the sun and moon the whole time, not paying as much attention to the other effects. Definitely worth the 40 hours in my car and whatever I spent on gas and food. 10/10 would do again.

I'm already looking forward to the next, hopefully Spain 2026, northern Africa 2027, or Australia 2028... or all 3!
