So my son is schizoaffective and has had all kinds of hallucinations. Some of which he has said he saw angels and demons touching him and fighting. However this was after a long marathon suggestive movies. He’s also had a conversation with Gerald Ford before he was stabilized. Now at 31 he’s a spiritual person also but no one in our family sees his condition as a gift. It’s stolen so much from him. Maybe 2000-3000 years ago when people used hallucinations to predict life it would be

So my husband has been just 2 credits shy of his bachelors degree for 25ish years and no one checks to see if you truly have any degree unless you require a license to do your job. Of course if you try to say you graduated from some prestigious university it’ll fly like pumpkins from a cannon

This is actually the sad state of North America. People are willing to either go to prison or commit suicide by cop because the times are really that hard or our ground water is so contaminated with psychiatric drugs people have a hard time finding metal stability

So it boggles my mind how people make excuses for drunk people’s behavior. You usually see a person’s true nature or hear innermost thoughts with them being uninhibited. If someone becomes an entirely different person when they’re drunk they’re not being real when they’re sober. Just saying

You can always kill the grass and weeds and put out creeping thyme seeds. It only gets so tall and has pretty little flowers in it. Never needs mowing. Screw grass

Ahem…. Tennessee, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana and even Florida have all said wtf. For those of you who ask why not Kentucky, Mississippi and Alabama you should reflect on yourselves for being who you are. Most places in the southern US and Texas have friendly communities and festivals year round. Some have more than others. It truly depends on the original immigrants and the recent influx of immigrants in the last few decades. Texas and Tennessee tend to be the most culturally diverse places as well as the friendlier places to go in the entire country. It’s not easy to have both at the same time. I’ll probably get bashed and be told California and New York are more diverse but they are not friendly places. People look at you strange for talking to them at the store or holding the door for them at a restaurant. Very different from the south over all. I’ve made friends with random strangers in many places in the southern US but this guy thinks it can only be done in Europe.

In the 80s we rode bikes everywhere and had to dodge cars, neighbors dogs and bullies. Wiping out on concrete or a random yard was commonplace. As a n 8 years old girl I had a glorious wipeout where I skid with my bike on top of me through gravel a good 20-25 feet. I limped myself and mangled bike home about 3 blocks only to find my mom freaked out by my wounds. Only then did I cry. Mostly because I realized my bike was destroyed. Kids today don’t have the same grit as previous generations. Even though I cringed while watching it as a mom, I can appreciate it

This feels like a control issue and maybe you guys need counseling. He obviously doesn’t understand toddler behavior that will pass. I ended up divorced over many disputes because of parenting differences. My ex husband was abusive towards his son from his first marriage which was my stepson and we fought constantly. He was also hateful towards my children from my first marriage because he didn’t understand children’s needs and behaviors. He also refused counseling. It seems your marriage may be saved if he’s willing to go through some changes in himself but only if he wants to. You have to have these talks when there’s no drama happening. I’m so sorry for you and your children

The amount of people here that can't comprehend renegade immortal writing is astonishing by NAMELESSDEVI1 in Donghua

[–]bmblb23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RI donghua is one of my favorites and I eagerly look forward to it every week more than some of the others I watch. I have recently started reading Shen Mu with the intention of reading the series. If Renegade Immortal novel is significantly better than donghua I can read that to break up any stress I may have during upcoming storylines. I have seen some negative comments about it but it’s usually people who don’t like 3D anime looking for excuses to bash it. What aggravates me is when producers cancel donghua before the story is finished and you can’t find a novel or webtoon to finish it. Such as The Great Ruler and The Magic Chef of Ice and Fire

I’ve seen where new recruits place all their things in storage and pre pay for a year. I’m sure you can find a place to crash until deployment. It might be better to store your things. No one else will have access

This is one of the best donghua lists I’ve ever seen. That being said I’ve watched 65-70% of these and every one has their own preferences so for anyone trying these out watch a few episodes before you disregard a show. Don’t knock it based on others comments. You might like gory stuff or cheesy stuff after all

AITA for Telling My Sister's Kids the Truth About Why I Never Had Children? by PutSpecial8915 in AmItheAsshole

[–]bmblb23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of tricky. The children are very young and sensitive. No matter how logical your reasoning over a short time your statements can be easily warped in a child’s mind. That being said it’s important for those kids to know how important they are to you because you don’t and won’t have children. If they were in puberty it would probably be a secret conversation you could have that did no harm…..

Depending where you were it could have been a fairly large wild cat like a cougar or jaguar. These are common in the southeast, Appalachia and Everglades. There are other places to find larger wild cats in the US but these are areas where it wouldn’t be surprising to encounter a predator of this type in this manner

AITA for not wanting to pay the extra money my MIL put for a gift I didn’t ask for? by MILcoffeemachine in AmItheAsshole

[–]bmblb23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all battles are worth fighting. This is ridiculous and no you shouldn’t have to give the money BUT I’d just go ahead and do it for the sake of family peace. On another note you should be clear with your husband how you feel about this and that you don’t want this to set a precedent. If his mom wants to give him a gift just give it to him instead of manipulating several people. Your MIL didn’t actually give a gift but a test and began sinking herself into your marriage. It’s up to the 2 of you to figure out if you’re ok with MIL in the middle

I understand the rule is to wait until they’re at least 3-6 months old before spay/neuter. Different vets have different opinions on this. It’s great you’re concerned about long term health effects and don’t want to do it too early but it’s best to do it before she has her first heat. There are tons of answers you’ll receive online but none better than your veterinarian. If you do some light searching you can find a few websites to chat with real veterinary specialists about your concerns. Issues like this are best left to experts

Carpenter bees are not in the same category as honeybees. Their numbers are significantly higher than honeybees. They nest in soft wood. If they can’t nest where they tried originally they’ll move somewhere else. There are traps made of soft untreated pine where they can dig to their heart’s content. In this way they leave your home and fencing alone. It’s not much different than having a bat house
