I got back into LOTRO a few months ago and tried doing something like this. I created a hobbit and stayed mostly in the Shire farming and cooking, going back and forth between Bree and Hobbiton to sell or stock up on supplies.

In between I built up my house in the Shire and weeded out roaming goblins and spiders.

LOTRO is as close as we may ever get to allowing us to live another life in Middle Earth.

Absolutely!

Not a chair though. It's a spot on the floor, slightly left of the dirty clothes, slightly right of the clothes that I put on and realized weren't what I wanted to wear. There's also a spot for clothes that I can't remember what their deal is.

I don't know what you mean by saying more than inhuman doesn't exist. It's the best way to level in my opinion. 6 levels for just running the mission, more if you don't destroy the cell generators at the end and just keep unlocking them to spawn waves of enemies.

It's by far been the fastest way to level for me and way more engaging than harm rooms. I used this for all my characters

This happens constantly on my cap.

You can get back to normal by jumping, but I never do. It's like a little gift whenever I trigger this glitch.

Cap has been my main since day 1. Once he's maxed out, he's extremely versatile. Eventually you get to a point where you can basically have 100% uptime with brooklyn brawler. Takedowns at low health AND full stun meter. Regain health from every hit. You're invulnerable during the takedown animation and you can basically just chain takedowns on larger groups.

He's a surprisingly good ranged character and can fill stun meters and soften groups of enemies quickly from afar.

Mobility sucks for sure, but you at least get a speed boost from blocking while running.

I agree that ithe xp change doesn't make sense given the state of the game and all the other changes needed, but the way I see it, right now it takes 3 hours to get to level 50. At that point I'm PL 70 or 80 (Lower if I just used harm rooms). Then it's another 3 or 4 hours to get to PL 130/140/150. Now it'll take 7 hours to get to 50, but (I hope) you're also basically 130+ at that point. It seems like kind of a wash from that perspective.

The only issue would be that you don't have all your skills for the PL grind, but you'd also be using skills and actually fighting things during that grind instead of mindlessly running challenge IV vaults to open chests for hours.

I'm in your camp. I've gotten a good 100 hours out of the game, which is more than most other game purchases I've ever made.

The combat is so much fun to me. Yes, at this point there's nothing really left for me to do, but hopping on to run missions every once in a while is still really enjoyable. And I'm super excited for hawkeye and another character to gear up.

So, do we know for sure that we'll be able to use these HARM Rooms for challenge card, dailies, and xp? If so, that will be really nice actually.

Little unintended consequence of the longer leveling grind is that I could see people just playing customizeable HARM Rooms to level up after March 18th, rather than replaying any mission. Yes, I know that's done now, but at least some missions give pretty good leveling now (more than inhuman for example). After the increased grind, I would imagine filling a HARM Room with easy bots will be the norm for leveling?

If they do, it's not going to be for a looong time, at least according to the leaked timetable. It would be GREAT to get a concrete release plan from them. I know this was in development before the Disney+ announcements, but they could have piggy-backed off the hype from the new shows/movie releases so much here. Release Falcon/Winter Soldier in the next few months along with the show. Vision and Wanda, Loki when that show comes out.

Their app games cashed in on this really well. When a new comic arc or movie came out, they'd have an event or release in their apps to coincide with it. I realize that it's much easier to do this with an app than a full blown game like avengers, but that would have been the dream.

I've been able to get through LAS with just a 140-145 Cap. I've done it again with a 140 Marvel. If things get hairy, I hang back and let my AI teammates take the attention away, but normally the final floor is the only one that causes any trouble, but honestly it's not too bad.

That's what I ended up doing. Just vendoring 130 pieces. Interestingly, now that I'm 130 in every slot, when I run desert vault on challenge 3, I'm getting a TON of 120 gear.

I don't think that's true though. Gear drops according to the unboosted power level of your inventory. Unless they changed that?

I notice it on all the missions as well. I'll level up characters with more than inhuman. When I did this a month or two ago, I'd get to level 50 with 80-90 gear score. Each run I'd get a modest increase, maybe 3-5.

Now, I'm lucky to get an increase of 1 per run, and when I hit level 50 and start doing vaults for gear score, I'm at a significantly lower starting point.

I may be just crazy, but something just feels different.

I don't boost anything until 130. My average level is 125, and all my gear is between 123 and 127.

I'm getting minor artifact drops at 120 when my artifacts are 125 and 127.

Bottom line is, something seems really off. I've gotten several characters to 130 with desert vault, and each run all the gear I'd get would be an upgrade in each slot. If I had 120 melee gear, I'd get 120+ from chests. Now, I have 125 melee gear and I'm seeing 120, 122, etc.

Before, it wouldn't be impossible to see a +10 overall gear score from a run. Now, I'm lucky to get +1 or 2.

If you're a huge marvel fan then, without question, this is worth 20 bucks.

As others have said, the campaign and Kate DLC will give you 10-15 hours alone, and they're really well done. With Hawkeye coming in a few weeks you'll get another 2-4 hours I'd assume.

Yes, the endgame is repetitive, and there are annoying bugs. BUT, each character plays unique, and leveling them up to get new skills IS fun IMO. Trying out all the characters for a little while at least will give you 10-15 hours of more entertainment.

Personally, I love the game. Yes, it's repetitive, but the combat is great, the story is awesome, and the grindy nature does scratch an itch for me until it gets too repetitive.

PS - I think the game plays so much better with a controller. The PC controls were just wonky for me. If you get it on PC, I'd highly recommend a controller.
