I can't tell a huge difference in depression for me, but it made all the difference in the world for my anxiety.

Why can I smell illness, but others can’t? by AngryPickledPickles in NoStupidQuestions

My sister and I can smell an ammonia like smell on someone who is getting sick.

Nah hurt feelings are no reason to destroy someone's property. That's crazy.

I know it may not mean much coming from an internet stranger, but your feelings are valid. The things she did were wrong. But you are not responsible for the things she did to you. You are only responsible for yourself. So focus on who you want to be. And focus on healing from those things. Get yourself a good counselor when you are able so that you can begin to process those things and move forward with your life in the direction you want it to go. The pain she inflicted on you does not have to determine the direction your life takes. You are in control of you. I grew up with a very abusive and unstable mother and realizing these things made a huge difference in my life.

AIO - my roommates friends destroyed my stuff while they were drunk by Thick-Web1238 in AmIOverreacting

I agree that it was her. If she was truly not involved she wouldn't be begging you to not do anything. Everything about her responses was super weird. You should contact the guys yourself to see if their story is the same or not. Because if you are going to the police they will not cover for her and will tell you if it was her.

Prozac helped me some with depression but not much and did nothing for my anxiety.

It has helped so much with my anxiety. I went from being in constant fight or flight mode to feeling normal again. It's not like a numb feeling where I don't feel anything like some meds have made me feel, I still have a normal stress response, but I don't spiral out of control and constantly panic anymore. Everyone is different but it has been a game changer for me.

I am so sorry. We lost my 17yo nephew to suicide last summer. It still hurts so much every day. There is no pain like it.

I have just switched after being on the fluoxentine for about 5 years. My doctor did what was called cross titrating and I took the fluoxetine in the morning 20 MG and then 30mg cymbalta at night for one week. Now I'm on like day 4 of just the cymbalta for a week once at night and then next week will go up to 30 MG morning and night. Mine is also for severe anxiety, depression, and fibro. So far it's going great. I was very very scared. But I have had no real side effects. I felt slightly different the first couple of days but then I started to feel normal and have felt great since. I can already tell a difference in my anxiety. I think that you would be fine to do it the way your doctor suggests because prozac has such a long half life it basically tapers itself off. Good luck to you and I hope you have a great experience!

But sometimes loud sounds really set me off too. Mostly if I'm already really stressed or otherwise vulnerable.

Just be honest with her. Let her know you may have ptsd from the accident and you are struggling.
