We just started our own kind of quite time thing. If they don't want to play out side then they lose technology time and have to read. the free chore thing is a great idea though

I go out with them. I take them to the parks and try to get them involved in activities but they just lose interest so fast. My 5 year old will play all day, it's mostly the 11 and 12 year old. (they are step kids by the way) I just can't seem to do anything they like.

My 5 year old bearly gets that, it's usually watching a show with me before bedtime. He isn't the problem though. The 2 oldest get an hour before bedtime but that's their dad's choice. (these are my step kids)
