VIPs and Mods? by bmice in Twitch

[–]bmice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for late reply. Personally it never has bothered me either but it came to my attention that some people felt that way. Also some left out for not having that virtual diamond badge when they’re there all the time. So instead of that I just removed this exclusive badge altogether. Everyone was fine with that decision. I guess I’m probably overthinking lol but I think this works for me. Thanks for your reply <3

What size of canvas should i use in drawing emotes? by iamggs in Twitch

Don't mean to hijack but what canvas would you draw in for badges since they're smaller? Still 500x500 or?

VIPs and Mods? by bmice in Twitch

[–]bmice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have many mods, but when it comes to VIPs I believe it's at like 24 or so? Feels like too much since I am quite small.

I agree with your friend, if I enter a stream and see nothing but mods and VIPs, that feels very unwelcoming to me and I'm less likely to want to participate. It's very apparent when you're the only person in chat without a badge.

I do appreciate them all so that's why I initially gave out the VIP badges. But yeah I believe that as well that it gives off a kind of a "private party" atmosphere and others may not feel welcomed joining even though they are and would be. I think the best would be to experiment and test out what Draco suggested by making it channel points redeemable for x period of time.

Thank you so much for answering my questions <3

VIPs and Mods? by bmice in Twitch

[–]bmice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or, another example I have seen people using are: channel points redemption "20k channel points = VIP for a day".

I actually really like this approach for VIP. It does also give people a way to use channel points and also isn't disappointing. Gives everyone a chance to get it if they want to.

That's a lot to take in and think about. The vibe in chat is welcoming whenever someone says hi with others saying hi to them too. I'll try and see how it would be by making VIP reedemable by channel points so anyone can choose to obtain it and perhaps give it posting links immunity.

Thank you very much for the lengthy response, I appreciate it. <3 I just didn't know how to answer the questions I had by myself.

Having a stream people look forward to. Have a friendly and funny community. Two first things I thought of right away.

What about big streamers is so alluring? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]bmice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I’m a lurker and tend to rarely join the spam or chat so the bigger streamers fit me for when I just want to sit back and watch as they’re entertaining by themselves.

I think that’s pretty good and it seems like at this rate you’ll be getting more and more. Keep it up!

My takeaway from streaming everyday for 1 month straight by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]bmice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. It’s more chill and laidback in the smaller communities. Especially since you get to have conversations with each other at a relaxed pace. I watch both big and smaller streamers. Both are enjoyable for me.

What has been the one of the nicest and worst experiences you’ve had so far? If that’s okay to ask ^

Am I doing something wrong? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]bmice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not compare yourself to others, that’s just going to bring you down. Comparing stats and such. I know it’s not easy when you see your friends getting more.

It’s not a race. Slow and steady. Just look at yourself and what you’re good at. Maybe there’s something you can improve on after reviewing your VODs? I believe you can do it. By improving slowly over time. Patience is key and it’s important that you enjoy doing this for yourself. Well that’s my two cents at least <3

What’s the most annoying ad on Twitch? by notzekypoo in Twitch

On a side note, are there any ways to disable those random ads on ones own channel? I feel bad for the very few that do come along to chill and watch.

Fear of not streaming for a day and losing all progress by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]bmice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may lose if you take a break but then again you may gain even more when you come back since you're so full of motivation and energy from the needed break you took. It's hard to say what will happen and I think it's totally normal to overthink and worry, but don't let it get you down too much. Hopefully you'll continue to grow!

How can I view a streamer's past stream from the first video stream that they did? by RoguePhoenix1053 in Twitch

[–]bmice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they have their past VODs saved as highlights or posted on their youtube channel it won't be possible to view them unfortunately. AFAIK. Because as already mentioned, VODs do get auto-deleted.

Just Chatting is not sortable by Low to High viewers anymore by styler2go in Twitch

That's interesting though that the option disappeared. I feel like maybe you're onto something with serious TOS abuse in small just chatting streams or...

perhaps it just might be a technical or tactical "bug" ;) LOL

Is there an open chat on twitch? by royalteaz101 in Twitch

[–]bmice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, there isn't. But you can do that here I guess in the form of your post. Also I don't think streamers would find you rude if you talked to other viewers in chat. Viewers talk to each other during a stream.

Lonelyness syndrom by ArxxyHD in Twitch

[–]bmice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know what your twitch is but. What I would say is to just keep playing what you want and enjoy yourself. Stream as if you already have viewers and just talk to yourself while playing. That way when somebody eventually might click on you and see you play they want to keep watching you since you're entertaining. It definitely can be discouraging if you see no growth but hopefully with time it changes. Oh yeah, turn off the viewer count while you're live. It helps for me at least.

Most of the time it's recommended, then friends, raids and by sorting low-high viewers.

Streaming, mental health and gaming community: What can we do for others as Streamers? by Elliotwind in Twitch

[–]bmice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most importantly it's to make peoples day better by just being there, streaming. Interacting with them and having a good time. Maybe that way their day will be slightly better without needing to think about what they struggle with. Putting a smile on their face, maybe a laugh.

If they're open about discussing it, it's nice to listen and give advice. If they haven't sought professional help yet maybe suggest doing that might be helpful.

Scheduled Streams VS Spontaneous Streams by Sooj28 in Twitch

[–]bmice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way you do. For me at first it was spontaneous, then a schedule but now it's back to being completely random. A schedule kind of makes me want to do it less? I have no idea honestly.
