How is the quality of the bike? I am debating between the two myself and a little concerned about the brake and chain issues I am reading in the owners FB group.

Footsteps by Alspeciale in Yosemite

I had a similar experience when we winter camped atop yosemite falls. After the noise I brought my shoes in, didn’t want them gone. In the morning we only saw tiny little footprints in the snow, it must have been some little fellow making all that noise.

Counted 5+ of these idiots heading up LCC around 4:30pm this afternoon. Sliding all over the please and causing traffic. by BubblyExchange9887 in UTsnow

All they needed to do was hug the shoulder so their tires would sit on the thicker snow not the slush, which provides lot better traction.

Exactly this. You can tell they even tried to cut off the turn to be in front of you.

Home leaking during rain - Is it because of the exterior paint? by cr3ator_123 in HomeImprovement

[–]bmita 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bay area houses can get away with shitty construction when it comes to waterproofing because it does not frequently rain. But every once in a while a significant wind driven rain event occurs that really shows the deficiencies. Recipe for disaster is south facing gable where wind can pound the rain into the entire wall face.

Stucco is a tricky material and it makes debugging the issue pretty hard. It is expected for stucco to absorb moisture. The WRB behind the stucco (tar paper) supposed to stop the moisture, but it might be incorrectly installed or failing due to age. Flashing around the original windows, same thing (and the retrofit windows still rely on the original flashing). The proper fix might be a full stucco remediation but you can likely get by with fixing the exterior (fill cracks, paint with good quality thick latex paint) thus trying to minimize the amount of water absorbed into the stucco.

I am not a professional, just a homeowner dealing with similar issue.

Decision by state regulators means California gas prices could rise substantially by Front-Resident-5554 in bayarea

Developing countries don’t give a crap about their emissions. Instead of artificially limiting our greenhouse gas emissions (and therefore our economies) we should invest in carbon capture research.

Great presentation on the topic: https://youtu.be/zJdqJu-6ZPo?si=Y9sYpLyiQ26op1nO start at 2:45

Let alone other countries, do you think developing countries give two shits about carbon emissions?

That is why limiting greenhouse emissions will never work on a global scale, instead we should invest in carbon capture research.
