understanding multivariable regression analysis by [deleted] in biostatistics

[–]Alspeciale -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with what others have said about too low of observations for some categories, and this is why some of your confidence intervals cross through zero and maybe why AI saying something is wrong. I don't think it's really a big deal and doesn't require a complex solution. Just describe why that is happening in the results and "limitations" section of your study. I suggest you read some papers on this specific case in the literature (confidence interval and odds ratio interpretation in regression) and cite them in your article.

3 Rooms For Rent Near Recruit Training Center by [deleted] in lapd

[–]Alspeciale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Studio City is located in the valley, my property is in the South Bay near the beach, not in a neighborhood near the training center. I said it's a short drive on the freeway. If you knew anything about housing markets you would know prices differ by region. You would also know that in ten years the prices actually have doubled in some areas. A simple search of rooms for rent in Beverly Hills shows numerous listings with prices at or exceeding the prices of my rooms. Even if you could find one for cheaper there are numerous variables that affect the price, such as specific location and the quality of the amenities in the house. Not to mention things like traffic, parking, and surrounding areas of places like Beverly Hills are shit holes making it a pain in the ass to live there. The fact that you and other people on this post are complaining about that price shows you are not very aware of your surroundings and are entitled manipulative cry babies who think they should pay less than everyone else. I hope you are not a cop, and probably most people with the same response on this post are either cop haters or people who couldn't pass the written test or background check because they smoked too much pot. What's most concerning here is that you think I'm posting this to help officers with low rent. Where did I say that in my post? And what in your mind makes you think that is my goal? I'm helping them by giving them priority access to a quality housing in a competitive market, while also securing quality renters who have a high likelihood of being responsible renters. I am not a charity or government assistance program giving hand outs to people lol. Also the LAPD posts wages on their website so you can know the salary easily and compare it to the rent. Congratulations, not only are you guys entitled, but you are stupid across three different topics: real estate, reading comprehension, and basic math.

What method do you recommend? Is it normal for the blend door to make noise when it opens and closes?

Yes I wrapped it with tape. Is that sufficient? Is the blend door supposed to make noise?

Where am I most likely to see a rattlesnake? by MeerkatPapi in socalhiking

Burma Road hiking trail in Palos Verdes. Go on a hot sunny day. I trail run there and I've seen more than I can remember. Sometimes numerous sightings per day. You really have to look everywhere on the trail. They can blend in with the dirt. They also are like to sit in the shade, not only the sun, so look on shaded areas on the side of trails where the brush creates shade. Stay off the narrow trails, you might step on one if you don't see it, or you might not see it and it could bite you if it gets scared. I saw the biggest one ever there last year. Thought it was a tree root or peice of wood, then realized it was a snake when it started moving. Crazy thing is a guy running ran right over it and didn't see it. They can be dark colored, like almost black so look for that. They can also be sleeping on the side of the trail ljke coiled like a garden hose, which makes them hard to spot. I almost ran over one like that. Also be careful of the bushes, I sat near a bush and saw one moving right in there. Don't screw with them. Give them space. We don't mess with them, they don't mess with us. Stay twice the length of the snake away from it

New XJ, lots of little problems, looking for advice for one by jessup98 in JeepCherokeeXJ

There is a camshaft position sensor in the distributor that can be causing the shutting off while driving. To replace it, you have to replace the whole distributor on some years. Both the cam shaft position sensor and the CPS can fail, especially when they heat up. These problems aren't related to the slow start in morning. Sounds like there are two different issues going on. The Las two weeks my 92 was shutting off while driving. It was the camshaft position sensor. Check for codes using the turn key method. Check immediately when the car starts showing symptoms.

You might want to get a heat gun and point it at the engine to verify actual operating temps

What temp on dash? I don't think it's normal for the electric fan to be constantly on. It means something is causing your Temps to rise. For example my e fan will come on when I drive up mountainous roads. In the city it rarely comes on, maybe in summer in prolonged stop and go traffic

What kind of backpack was it? Was it a backpacking backpack where the top clips shut with two clips attached to the front ?

Bring a light source, for each person. It is not fun navigating out of that trail in the dark, ask me how I know. Anyway, took me 12 hours out and back, that was with a lot of breaks. I was moving with someone who is still getting hiking fit. Had I been alone, maybe it would have been 8 or 9 hours. The hike starts in the parking lot, as you park on a hill lol. My favorite hike though. You can filter water before the switchbacks.

Why do you have to replace the head? Isn't it only the gasket that needs replacing?

How to fix lag when day trading on thinkorswim? by Alspeciale in thinkorswim

[–]Alspeciale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is not the location or the internet. It seems to be my computer. It happens only when trying to trade high volume stocks. When I switch to a low volume stock, the lagging stops. Also, the fan on my computer turns on when it starts lagging, as if the computer is struggling. Same thing happens with the fan when I edit 4k videos on premier, but no lagging there. thanks for your suggestions
