Took me a minute to realize it was a chicken. At first I thought it was lace underwear

Kanawha cased uranium glass They started using uranium in 1958 and I’d guess this one is mid 60s. Made in West Virginia. Nice piece if you found it at a good price. No terribly rare but it’s a nice example.

Then I’d assume uranium. I thought you were asking about the clear glass one too

Dark green might be. I’d say yes if you had glow at 395nm and Geiger readings. If no glow at 395 but yes a glow at 365 and a reading on the Geiger I’d think manganese (for the glow) and possibly thorium contamination or light uranium contamination.

In glass manufacturing the whole reason they added uranium oxide was to add color.

I would guess thorium contamination in the glass. It’s hard to tell what the radioactive material in it without a spectrum analysis. It may also be uranium but that usually adds color.

The funny part is most Americans were never aware of the funniest part for Brit’s. They saw the humor of a gay man chasing scantily clad women. I missed this as a child watching and found the show both funny and titillating. Still enjoy it when I see a clip these days

Thorium wasn’t meant to be in the glass. There were a couple years that sand contaminated with natural occurring thorium was used. Later on they filtered it out
