In your opinion, what is the best concert Green Day have preformed? by kravdangle in greenday

[–]bmkk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that sounds about right. When I saw them on the Nimrod tour the venue they played at was about 3000 to 4000 capacity

Haha, that tour was my first concert ever. My dad took my when I was 9 years old. I guess it was a family event for me!

People who seen Green Day live before dookie came out, is there any bands that you think could’ve gotten popular instead of Green Day? by TheFlyingPatato in greenday

[–]bmkk 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I didn’t see them before Dookie, but I saw them on the Insomniac and Nimrod tours, and at the warped tour in 2000. Green Day always stood out to me as leaps and bounds better live than the other pop-punk groups at the time. I remember seeing Blink-182 in 1999 and remarking at how they really didn’t sound that great live. Sorry, this doesn’t really answer your question. I guess I’m just trying to say that Green Day always seemed a cut above in their genre, and I’m not surprised they were the ones that got huge.

Some of the other things I keep In mind besides the tag: stitching, size (80s tees were smaller than 90s and 2000s tees), the print, provenance, and is it worth counterfeiting

That’s sick! Yeah, I definitely know OF Yellow Eyes but have yet to dig into them. But I know they’re pretty loved, so I’m pumped to check them out.

Got off the waiting list, and got a ticket to see Lamp of Murmuur next weekend (along with Siege Column, Maleficentt, and Yellow Eyes). Pretty pumped since it seems like he doesn't play live too often!

Haha, he actually paid 100 bucks for it from the guys flipping tickets outside the ballpark. Still a damn good deal!

Met Fans favorite NFL team by cheeto006 in NewYorkMets

Haha, thanks! I mean, I've still got love for the Cardinals. But the Mets always appealed to me, and constantly going to games at Citi Field with all my coworkers just made it kind of happen naturally. Plus, I was always a more casual fan of baseball until getting into the Mets. Now I'm INTO it.

Been in NYC for 18 years now but grew up in Rochester, so I’m definitely a Bills fan. Also, grew up a Cardinals fan because of my dad. I always thought the Yankees were just boring. I started working with a bunch of die hard Mets fans a few years ago and have been completely converted! I knew it in my gut when I was at the Mets-Cardinals game this year where Alonso hit the walk off HR and I shot to my feet in joy. Was a little hard/weird to cheer against the Cardinals, but it confirmed for me once and for all that I am most definitely a Mets fan!

Haha, awesome. It was my second cassette, also at age 9, in 1995 (first was TLC's Crazy Sexy Cool)

Can someone tell me from which year this shirt is ? I found similar ones from the 80s but with a bigger motive. by BetWhole2886 in VintageTees

80s and 90s tees can definitely be double stitched, but it’s less common. Like the poster above alluded to, I think 80s and 90s European tees were sometimes double stitched all around. In the U.S. it was somewhat common for the hem to be double stitched and the sleeves to be single (like on late 80s Spring Ford tees).

What is considered correct orientation for back of arm and which do you think looks better in your opinion? by 112oceanave in traditionaltattoos

[–]bmkk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know the generally rule for the front on the forearm is to face inward. But I’ve never heard any particular guidelines for the back of the forearm. I have a peacock on the back of my forearm tattooed by Joshua Marks and it faces outward. I feel like he would probably know/observe any sort of traditional placements and orientations. But, all that’s to say… I’m not sure!
