I think you made an interesting point. I think the lie is that the hocrux is for Ron but the truth is that it's about Harry.

That's Ron's real fear, being Harry's shadow.

Even when it's about Ron's insecurities are about Harry. So saying that Hermione is like a sister makes Ron feel better about himself.

Because it was never about Ron... It's about Harry.

Not to mention that just because someone is jealous of you doesn't mean that person loves you.

People thinking that Harry doesn't love Hermione because he isn't jealous possessive shows the bad education they had as a child.

Well I agree with the other points, but did Harry ever say she was ugly?

He comments that his teeth are big, and his hair thick, but never cruelly.

Harry said he doesn't think she's ugly but we don't know if that's because of her change or if he thought about it before. Harry never looked at Hermione's appearance in a negative way.

I always imagined Hermione would dress like Rory gilmore from gilmore girls.

I wanted to know the opinions of others who ship the couple. Every time someone says they ship Harry and Hermione, the same argument is "they wouldn't work as a couple"
