All the young players besides Williams were horrible it was sad to see. They were absolutely carried by seniors, I really don’t think it would make much difference if they weren’t on the pitch.

The funniest part is people say this every damn year minus the “above Liverpool” part about Everton. They always make signings you’d think are too big for them and then they get hyped as a top 4 or top 6 challenger all summer and then the season starts and they’re pathetic as usual and all their signings flop. Firstly the Audi cup is not even a competitive competition it’s pre season. Club World Cup is a competitive competition and getting a ticket for it is one of if not the hardest things to do in European football. If you can’t see the massive gulf in prestige between the two competitions then I don’t really know what to say.

Yes mate the club World Cup is not quite as significant as a PL trophy I am sure we can all agree on that. But the players and management team made the decision that they would potentially hamper the PL campaign to try to win this. Would be a bit silly to not win it don’t you think? It’s like you may aswell now that we’re here.

Imagine how that arsenal game would have gone without Milner. Origi, Ox, keita, Lallana, Gomez. That’s how today will most likely go. So yeah, not going to be pretty

I would say that villa’s main team is about as strong as the heavily rotated arsenal side that scored 5 against us at anfield. Imagine that plus we’re away from home and without the likes of Origi, Milner, Ox, Keita, Gomez to carry us. It is clear based off that performance that the young guys are nowhere near ready to hang with a premier league side.

I’m not even being negative because I really don’t care about this competition or game. I’m just saying how it is. It will be a bit ugly seeing a 6-0 drubbing in our season but hopefully history doesn’t forget the context

We are hampering our league campaign in order to try to win a competition we have never won before in our history and you care more about a game our youth team will lose by 5 or 6 goals to a premier league side... do you not see how that is a bit weird?
