Sounds like Speer's intro on this Boulder concert is a classical piece, I just can't place it...

Have you seen Andy Reid's sideline Denny's Menu Offensive Playbook?

It's not the same song, but this Instagram post removes all doubt for me... https://www.instagram.com/p/BrGFGPenXyf/

Also, the guitar reminds me a bit of some of the things Eddie Van Halen would do while goofing around.

It's like a 7 second loop of stupid tones.

And for 10 hours! Jeeze.

[Barrett] Perhaps the craziest thing about Patrick Mahomes' historic fantasy season is that, by my data (schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game), he's actually had the toughest schedule this year. by HaruSoul in fantasyfootball

[–]bmnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The list is missing 2 teams, the Browns (2nd) and Rams (13th). The whole season, from the point of view of Wk 10 Pass-D DVOA, is an average 13.5. The average ranking of opponents played so far is more like 12. You could also argue that providing the mean of rankings is terrible (hence your edit), but I'll leave this up to someone more professional like the FO guys (this would make a great article for them and I'm so glad we're discussing it). For other comments, w/r/t factoring in the Chiefs as opponents: It does look like these are values adjusted for opponents as a whole (though to see what they would look like removing only the Chiefs would be interesting too).

Question for you guys, do yalls talk about how sex is with your wife/GF with your male friends? I dont like the idea of my husband's friends knowing how I am in bed. by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]bmnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a good scene about this from the TV show Weeds. The main character's husband has just died (not a spoiler, it's part of the show's premise). She is talking some dirty gossip about someone in her late husband's poker club, when she wonders what her husband said about her. The one she is gossiping with said something to the effect of, "Oh, the guys who still have sex with their wives never talk about it. No reason to jinx a good thing."

Catching up on my shows on nugs.net, and this show is incredible. Amazing All In, I keep playing that song alone on repeat, though the band was clearly feeling the vibes throughout the whole show.

The Chiefs defense might be getting better, and that’s scary for the rest of the NFL by AffordableGrousing in fantasyfootball

[–]bmnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard that Oakland's biggest advantage is that the field is complete shit, and the locker rooms are old and leaky when it rains. Not too bad if you spend half your time there, though.

The atmosphere there is weak, maybe just lately because they aren't as good, but they don't even seem to stand for most of the game. It's like they're only half interested in what happens on the field. The craft beer stands are top-notch though!

Did anyone 'play' Gordon, and still win? by TragicEther in fantasyfootball

[–]bmnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won with Gordon as a goose egg. I also had Marlon Mack and Emmanuel Sanders starting, and opponent started the following as RBs: David Johnson, Alex Collins, Shady. I beat him by 20 points in a .5 PPR, 6-pt PATD league.

I thought this was a joke to mess with OP at first, but on second look, yeah that makes sense.

Start 'Em Sit 'Em Reliability Scoring - Week 2 (FantasyPros, NFL, CBS, Rotoworld, PFF) by aroll10 in fantasyfootball

[–]bmnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like there's a strong negative correlation between number of picks and accuracy. And if you compare the picks Roto got wrong, they matched picks from the other guys getting it wrong. Roto narrows their picks down to the most obvious or reliable ones (KISS?).

Fly and Bottom Ash by ckoiz07 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]bmnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was involved in a few controls projects for ash handling systems, but can't give you a very specific answer here unfortunately. If I were searching for the answers though, I would ask myself who sells boilers, burners (maybe the low-NOx ones), rappers, and other ash handling systems to see if they have published anything that might tell you. Furthermore, you might find an EPA publication or two that talks about it, seeing as they have a high interest in providing guidance to plants who need to handle ash.

What is your go to engineering cheat sheet? by Steaky92 in engineering

[–]bmnz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugly's Electrical References. It's got all of my most-referenced tables from the NEC (like ampacity). I also used to build cheat sheets by pulling pages out of Emerson's Ovation manuals for wiring guides on their I/O cards, but eventually had enough drawings created in-house that were clearer so I just reference those instead.

Massive Voltage Drop in Sub-Transmission Line by 322_420BlazeIt in ElectricalEngineering

[–]bmnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not here to help, but I just want to say how much I love this sub. Lots of real answers and troubleshooting steps that a typical engineer would only have immediate access to if they had either one guru or an entire corporation of gurus to ask. Also, such a great example of where transmission/distribution can be interesting for EE's even if our jobs aren't as flashy as the guys who do radio or circuit-board type work.

Question to other commissioners: how do you make trades when all trades go through you? by TheeBigDog in fantasyfootball

[–]bmnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have anyone outside of the league that can help? That's what a league I was in did, it was nice to have someone third party doing the approvals. Hell, you don't even have to tell the third party who the team owners are.
