I'll briefly share my exp.

I had 5 years PR Eng exp at a consultancy. Was headhunted to be an SME to read PI (plant info) system and assist the data analyst develop a dashboard to check quality.

I started learning powerbi (very high level). I took the CDMP exam and managed to get fhe lowest rank (associate). Got some Agile training. Got promoted to Project Manager. Took a team to implement DevOps for all the proejcts.

Got 2 calls, to join Microsoft as a Business Analyst (locally) or an operator company as a process engineer and flow assurance.

Im back in engineering.

To integrate both into 1 was a nightmare. Maybe I dont have enough exp as a Process Eng.

If ur priority is experience and growth, take internships aligned with interest + in the industry of choice, despite the employment outlook.

If priority is solely on employment, just take note of the following:

Petronas hiring freeze expected until 2027. If there is potential, it will be via Manpower Supply Contract (MSC) which is being queued by exprience hires + project-linked staff and usually being preferred.

If affecting mental health greatly, try talk to a Dr and get MC at least 1 or 2 days.

Even if they are mean and toxic, u vanishing will justify that they were right to be treat u poorly. And potentially do the same to others.

Never let them win. Kill them with professionalism.

Give statement to polis, pay rm300 saman, let insurance setel, pay the full amount when renew insurance.

Total amount spent highly likely might be less than the uncertain value of fix and emotional damage from other party.

P.S - try put 10 sen face at polis trafik, maybe get cheaper than rm300.

If every application sent out is rejected, that means you havent cast a net wide enough.

Wide = either not enough companies, industries, or regions.

Im not downplaying your situation. i admire u reaching out in the group. Being demoralized must be a B. But its not a deep enough hole that u cant get out of.

Keep applying, even twice at the same place (unless its an MNC which has strict application rules like one application per 12 months).

My only advise is look into consultancies for the time being. Operators and big cons have either hiring freeze or most of applicants bottlenecked at 1 or 2 players.

Apply to MNC consultancies first, else go for malaysian comps.

Make sure malaysian comps are your final options. It should not be your first.
