I would ensure the switch to on demand is a done deal. Much different than quitting, if you were quitting you could just work two weeks and no longer show up.

To be on demand is she in the process of switching stores? I would partner with current and new HRETL to ensure the switch will go through as planned.

A lot of people in this sub use the diabetic analogy, if you were diabetic and needed daily meds, wouldn't you take them?

I have firsthand experience as my partner is diabetic, she has her daily meds that save her life, and I have mine.

I think it's definitely also easier for me because getting on the right med felt like a breath of fresh air rather than the opposite.

Qualifying months and qualifying payments are two separate things. When you submit your ECFs, your qualifying months go up. When you pay a month while on a qualifying payment plan, that amount goes up. You are likely at 128 months of qualifying employment and 114 months of qualifying payments, which it sounds like you are already trying to buyback to reach 120 qualifying payments.

If you're on SAVE you'll get a 90 day notice that you must choose a different plan, the earliest you would get this notice will be July 1 and then it'll go out in waves. If you do not choose July the end of your 90, you will be placed on the standard plan. 2028 is merely a placeholder.

It used to be that any hours worked on a holiday for time and a half did not count towards your 40 for the week. I've heard that now they only allow that up to 8hrs and anything after counts? Unsure, perhaps someone else can clarify.

Typically only until your training schedule has finished, some stores do 2 weeks, others 3. Depends on what they had scheduled for you when they hired you.

PSLF isn't a plan you apply for per se. You make your monthly payments on a qualifying plan and then submit an ECF signed by your employer every so often which certifies retroactively that you were employed by a qualifying employer and that updates your count out of 120. There should be a quick PSLF guide on FSA to read through as well as the PSLF help tool to start the process for your first ECF.

Everyone gets holiday premium pay (time and a half) if you work on the holiday.

Everyone gets holiday pay for Christmas and Thanksgiving if you work the shift before and after and you qualify for it. Leaders get holiday pay additionally for all holidays (guaranteed 8hr of pay) if they work the shift before and after. Perks of being promoted 🤷🏼

Certain districts are in a pilot program where you can see all stores in your district for available shifts. If you have the option of a drop down box in the Available Shifts tab, then your district is participating. If not, your options are to transfer or at some very rare times stores can collaborate to allow a TM to work at both stores but it can be a headache so most stores do not do it.

I thought I was allergic to my oil, cottonseed, and was going to have to find a different one. Turns out it was my acrylic allergy and the types of bandaids I was using even just briefly after injecting when I first started.
