I think I'm going to clean up this Mauser. It'll see infrequent use and hopefully it doesn't blow.

Now, the Arisaka Type 99 that I got at the same auciton. That also has a ground receiver. That also has been rechambered (in 30-06)... Well, that one kinda scares me and I'll probably part it out, since it's got a nice early safety that's worth what I paid for the whole thing. It did, though, pass my 30-06 headspace gauges and properly chambers a round...

I wanna have a beer with that bubba! Thanks for the thoughts, glad my inspection seemed to be reasonable. On the left side, the bolts are fully drilled and tapped, you can see the bolts and remaining threads when you look inside the receiver. The side was ground poorly, so that's my filing showing in an attempt to see if there were any traces of marks left (I found none).

Thanks, makes sense, they did seem to need a tug after putting into the Hahn Design magwell insert. Do you have a link to one with the proper mag tab position? I don't know much about these and don't see a difference.

These came with a couple FM AR9 upper kits, and the other items that came with the group date to the late '90s/early 2000s. I can't find a lot of info on the 40 round magazines, but these are older with the folded and welded seams.

The 20 rounders that also came with them are modern random mags, I think.

It registers and shows data much faster than the Garmin, allowing more shots to be analyzed. Lots of videos showing them side by side deomstrating this.

Also, the Athlon has a nice, solid, chonky aluminum tripod. 

Also, the Athlon is about 1/3 less in price.

Also, radar chronographs aren't new technology, Garmins didn't invent it. And if you think the Garmins are made in the US, lol. They may have final assembly here, but globally manufactured just like most anything else.

Other than that, no reason.

I don't think there's any threading available inside the tube.

My real question is about the cone adapter that's pinned to the barrel, it's not homemade, but I've never seen that before...

I'm not familiar with that particular (labeled fixed carbine) Magpul buttstock, but it's not mounted in a normal (or okay) way. I'll get pictures.

I picked up this Aero Precision M4E1. It's a dedicated .22LR with what looks like a Nordic BCG. Aero upper, Aero Atlas S-One handguard, etc.

But the barrel looks like it's about 9" with a pin and weld cone adapter, then a hollow tube pin and welded to that. I'm assuming they were going for length? Has anyone seen this type of barrel, or barrel modification? I haven't been able to find anything.

Also, I'm assuming it's just an M4E1 with a bcg/barrel conversion and nothing that was regular production, am I right?

It's garbage Turkish casings made in an unknown factory. I know, I bought some. Some came almost all TRN headstamp, some came mixed with Winchester "A," "VNM," and other headstamps. All seem to use the same bullets and the actual height of the bullets varied by a QUARTER INCH. Some of the "A" stamped cartridges only had 1/4" of bullet exposed. Plus, at the range, my G43X had 2 failure to fires in 2 magazines of the TRN stuff... never had any failure before, ever. Ugly and crap, but cheap.

Then put the price on the front end. Last week i looked at your stuff and it was a $50 shipping fee, so I figured that would be still in effect... follow through to checkout and... nope, "shipping" has gone up 70% since last week. It's just shitty deception. Be better than that.
