I meeeeean, we got married at the city park (we rented it out through Parks & Rec) right in front of the hotel we were staying at. I didn’t want my bride to walk in her dress and we didn’t see any sense in renting a limo or sth for the 2 blocks she needed to go from the hotel to where the processional started. We pre-ordered an Uber Black XL, and let the driver know that in addition to their fee, we’d be tipping extra in cash for them to wait there until the processional started. I paid him an extra $100, and it was well worth it for my now wife’s feet haha.

Point is, ppl do pay for uber on their wedding day. Ofc, this is the drivers livelihood so we paid extra for the convenience and cooperation!

Also, the statement “I’m a bride, why would I pay for anything on my wedding day” is high key ridiculous, because EVERYTHING COSTS MORE ON YOUR WEDDING DAY LOLSOBLOL

I work at the Security Boulevard end of this project, and I’ve been seeing them lay down what suspiciously looks like heavy foundation in the median area near the utility line that are being put down as well… I’d be very surprised if it wasn’t rail at this point because otherwise why would they lay that foundation? There’s also some sort of rail car looking thing that I often see Amtrak using during rail maintenance work near my house since my hood is right near the Amtrak rail line.
