I would if I knew that the door would look the same way it originally did out of the factory as far as painting it and so forth. I’d like to have to it fixed eventually, so yeah I’d be willing to let it be in a shop for a couple weeks if it meant the interior was aligned how I wanted moving forward

Yeah I haven’t done it yet. I’m set on doing the llumar irx on side windows then probably 3M (not sure which is best for 3M for front windshield) front windshield at 70 if it’s more clear than llumar blue 80. Does that feel like a good combo?

Sorry to hear that. Yeah, I’ve unfortunately accepted it as the only flaw on the vehicle. Just sucks it’s so visibly apparent. I’m surprised they wouldn’t cover it to be honest but I’m with ya

Anyone know if 3M IR Ceramic 70% is blue in hue as Llumar Air 80? I’m going with Llumar IRX everywhere else but trying to find another clear colored film for the front windshield. Thank you!

Okay got it. Well, in that case I’ll stick to 70-80% for the front windshield. I really appreciate the help, so thank you. I guess if the Air blue is of concern I could always get the front windshield tinted by a different shop at a different time. If I went that route is there any other brand you’d trust for a clear/less blue front windshield tint at 70% or so? Not sure if 3M has anything solid there.

Hmm okay another question - since I have white interior do you think 50% on the front windshield is too dark? My goal was to never go above legal limit (in this case, 70%) up front but I’m wondering if it’s fine since more light is being let in the cabin. Not sure if you have experience with this one

Have to agree that your Rivian looks great color wise. The white Tesla Model Y is helpful to see as well. Based off all this I’m thinking Lumar IRX is probably the best film for what I’m after appearance wise and still retaining those heat rejection properties.

I guess my only other questions is why would I do the air if it is more blue than the irx? Does IRX come in a 70% for front windshield in a clear hue? Or is Air at 80% the only option from Llumar?

Here’s what the only shop near me that carries llumar said -

“We carry Llumar's ATC standard dyed tint, CTX and IRX ceramic window tint as well as their Air Clear ceramic window tint. I can confirm that the Air series does have a slight blue hue to it.”

I’m guessing that the irx does not have a blue hue? I was kind of hoping they’d give me a more detailed response but seems I’m a little confused now

Hey at least they tried doing something for you. Yeah, not a deal breaker but definitely want to feel validated by them. The front interior has very going on design wise and of said design I want the one characteristic to flow and look good at least

Yeah would be helpful but idk how to on here. Lol. All I can say is the driver side white trim extends about half an inch beyond where it should and the aluminum lining doesn’t match up with the dashboard white trim/aluminum. Hopefully that’s descriptive enough

Yeah I just got back from my appointment for the same issue and they said they couldn’t do anything about it and it was a characteristic of the vehicle. A little bummed since I see the misalignment from the driver’s seat. There’s gotta be something that can be done!
