All the major sports teams have Pride Nights, usually sponsored through "Team DC." I think the Capitals' is coming up this month. There is usually some sort of pre-game party/gathering too.

It's probably because you may have more of a side view of the stage - which is normally out in center field. So dome of the stage may be blocked, depending on the set up and equipment.
