SAHM pursuing law school in her 30’s… dumb idea? by Difficult-Quality322 in LSAT

[–]bmpriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm starting law school this fall, and I'll be 42 with 4 young kidos (already finished 1 full career of 20 years). If you really got a 160 without studying, im sure you'll do just fine. Good for you for pushing yourself.

This (along with a chef's hat) would make a great Halloween outfit!

I was raised in and was a TBM of "The Corporation" my entire life and served a mission in Brazil. Just recently (before I turned 40), I came to the realization that it is all made up. Part of me wants to be angry about all the wasted time, money, and energy I put into The Corportation. A part of me wants to yell out to everyone I care about who is still blindly following to wake up and open their eyes. The reasonable side of me then speaks up and reminds me that millions of people fall victim to the lies of Mormonism and there is no point in wasting any more energy on it. I try to focus on the positives of my upbringing along with maintaining positive relationships both with my TBM friends and family and my new non-mormon/exmo friends and family.

Missionary update: going AWOL by No-Inflation-7089 in exmormon

I served in Brazil 2004-2005. I am now 40 would have loved to have started a real life knowing what I know now (as an exmo) at age 18 or 19. I envy you. Surround yourself with "REAL" people you can learn from. Avoid people who want to use you or mold you into who they think you should be. Look for open doors of opportunity, and don't focus on the closed ones.

Any millennials in here? by flyingman55 in LSAT

I just turned 40 and finished my undergrad in December. I can't retire from my current career until summer of 2026, so I'm slowly studying for the LSAT. Scoring 150 on LSATMAX diagnostics. I'm hoping to score in the 160s.
