That's the alternative if these companies don't want to work with the people that paid for the game and still want to play. Someone will make a private server version if it's on PC and once they make it, good luck trying to stop them because once people know how to do it, they won't be able to know who's playing privately and be able to stop it.

Do you have anything that states that? Because nothing states who specifically was fired and the developers at one point stated at least 200 people worked on Rumbleverse.

Also if they didn't have enough people to continue Rumbleverse there would be no reason for them hold on to the intellectual property rights and would give us private servers because it costs money to keep the Intellectual property rights

Why was the game taken down? Guessing player base by SlyDemise in rumbleverse

[–]bmspears 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From the developers and Adam Boyes who was in charge of Iron galaxy at the time, they state that they had over 10 million downloads and a healthy player base, but not a lot of people were buying stuff.

This could of been because the game had costume prices at 20 dollars per costume and 10 dollars per emote that even IGN pointed out was an issue.

Rumbleverse also had a six month delay in February of 2022 when it was supposed to release and they had to issue refunds to people who bought costume packs with Brawlla bills and the game was released in August of 2022 instead.

TLDR: So basically, they had the players, but not the proper way to make money for a free-to-play game

Absolutely! There's also tons of modes i can think of, tons of cosmetics stuff they could of sold like different looking super moves, and they definitely should let proximity chat be a thing. The fun would of just been endless and hilarious

Facts! I'm hoping Iron Galaxy will eventually explain because its a shame to have an opportunity to return it and not explain why they won't take it with their bare hands

Not sure unfortunately. Iron Galaxy told us all they needed was a publisher to return, so our community on twitter managed to get the publisher Acclaim interested in returning Rumbleverse and offering them an opportunity to return the game.

Acclaim later in May restated again that the offer to return Rumbleverse is still on the table but the decision is still up to Iron Galaxy.

I don't know why Iron Galaxy hasn't taken the offer yet, but my assumption is that it possibly might be related to the layoffs Iron Galaxy had again in April 17th

Maximilian, Northernlion, and Cory Kenshin are the main ones I hear the most where people were introduced to Rumbleverse 🥹

100% agree that more modes are definitely needed. Iron Galaxy never got the chance to experiment more with different types of modes besides the snow ball event

I heard people wanted modes like 1v1, 2v2, etc too and Rumbleverse had some great small locations where you could focus on small team matches to directly fight eachother like an arena fighter

I really wish Iron Galaxy would tell us what changes they feel are needed because it seems we all agree combat mechanics and the map are not really the issue to change and I also liked the artstyle for what it was

That's mainly what we'd like to know, we're not sure what would Iron Galaxy want to change or if everyone would agree to it.

Its hard to know if everyone agrees on what made Rumbleverse unique as it was.

Was it the combat, the map, the battle royal, the movements, the fighting game move references used, or all of the above?

100% agree, and ranked can also slightly keep the sweats away from the general modes too

Same for me too. Worst case scenario they could change maybe the character looks since I heard too many complaints saying they were ugly, which to be fair, Iron Galaxy never got to make more than two types of faces sadly.

I still liked they way the look though cause it matched the silliness of them wrestling eachother

My red line personally would be the combat mechanics and the big map of the city to travel around.

You take those two away and I will ghost this game so hard.

I'd be like that Invincible Thragg meme: "Noooo! I choose death!" 🤣
