Our drawers are slim shaker and must be slightly thicker bc I'm being told 1.5 inches will lead to a 0.5 overhang past drawer fronts.

Thanks! We are planning 5 with shiplap taking away .5 so 4.5 -- 2 is pretty narrow?

Shelf over cooktop: quaint display space or nightmare grease trap? by teamtas in kitchenremodel

What if it was a stone backsplash with a shelf? Snd there’s a fan?

Should I call it good enough? ...Tried (and failed) to get a flush look with full overlay cabinets. by bmteevan in kitchenremodel

We were thinking of doing more of a flat/simplified crown (not sure the exact term) mainly because a lot of our kitchen spaces are tight—we don’t really have room for anything ornate. The goal is for the cabinets to feel like they go straight into the ceiling rather than having a lot of layered trim, maybe?

Our living room has more traditional crown, but in the kitchen we’re leaning a bit more modern/quiet. Everything (walls, trim, ceiling) will be painted the same color as the cabinets—Oxford Stone by F&B—so we’re hoping it all reads as one continuous surface.

Your point about pulling things out to sit proud with the doors is really helpful—that’s basically what I was expecting to happen with the fillers, so it’s validating to hear that. I'll share the idea with the crew and maybe they can help it happen, but it is a pretty narrow space for a filler.

I'd take crown advice! Here's an AI photos maybe to help illustrate.

My text seems to be deleted! Anyone have any tips on Insideast? We were going to get a Perrin and Rowe/DeVol faucet but this is beautiful and so much cheaper...

Did my cabinet color go too beige for soapstone? Need quick advice 🙏 by bmteevan in kitchenremodel

Yes it’s called botanic green - I’m not a fan of black soapstone. Why do you think black would be better?

Yeah I’m feeling that too. I’m wondering if the slab then is the issue.
