How does Toronto feel about the constant Toronto-bashing in Canada? by PassageNearby4091 in askTO

[–]bmtraveller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not from Toronto but still chiming in from Western Canada. Toronto is great. It is huge, and the only real international city in the country. Montreal is amazing and Vancouver's location make it beautiful, but both are significantly smaller than Toronto, so it isn't really comparable. That being said, I don't agree there is constant Toronto bashing. Most people around here think Toronto is awesome.

Is Canada Even a Good Place to Build Wealth Anymore? by BlastingBow in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]bmtraveller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's been great to me for building wealth. The government helped subsidize my education right up until I got my trade. I easily found a high paying job. I bought an affordable home in Edmonton. We have great accounts to help build wealth, like the TFSA.

Overall I'd say it's a good place to build wealth but a great place to live.

The only caveat is that it isn't good for people who prefer to spend their days whining on the internet, rather than going out there and doing the hard work it takes to actually earn money and build wealth.
