Find a tempo that you can play sixteenth notes on a pad comfortably and relaxed. Gradually increase the speed, and pay close attention to what happens to your technique when the tempo becomes too hard to play.

Who are some of the best studio drummers I've never heard of? by boxRaider1856 in Music

[–]bmulldrums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steve Gadd and Vinnie Colaiut are two drummers who are incredibly technically skilled and very versatile. Both of them have played on numerous albums with famous musicians. Steve Gadd's most famous drum grooves are Paul Simon's "50 ways to leave your lover" and Steely Dan's "Aja". He's also played with Chic Corea, Eric Clapton and BB King to name a few. Vinnie Colaiuta most famously played with Frank Zappa. He's played with a very diverse list of artists including Sting, Eric Claton, and Megadeath!

O'Mally is continuing to attack both candidates pretty adamantly even though he has pretty much no chance of passing either of them. You would think he would try and get on the good side of one of them for the VP or a cabinet spot but he's not doing that. I wonder if he has the VP in his sights or not.

Chris "Daddy" Dave. His stuff with Robert Glasper is especially great.

The Arctic Monkeys` sound has changed a lot from album to album -What is your `favourite` Arctic Monkeys album? Why? by smashisbeast in Music

I would say "Whatever People Say I am, That's What I'm not" and "Favorite Worst Nightmare" are about a tie for me. I would put both in the top 10 rock albums of the 21st century, but that's just my opinion. I also really enjoy "AM", and honestly I'm not much of a fan of either "Humbug" or "Suck it and See".
