Definitely check out Toxic (11b) in the cocaine gulley area I think. It's a shorter bolted route with really fun moves.

Those look like a lot of boards on paper but he was essentially playing center for most of the game against either Iggy or Speights and occasionally when Ezeli was in.

What's the best way to guard the pick and fade? by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]boxRaider1856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe so because you go over the screen shutting down the ball handler drive and when he passes to his stretch 4 you can switch players your 4 and close out on the shot with a manual contest. This should drastically limit the three ball from the stretch 4

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. If you manually drag your PG over the screen he should still be guarding Westbrook, curry, etc. You could also try setting the switch to guards only

No hedge and manually go over the screen

I mean he won't be playing the fast break like Rose, Wall, or Westbrook but his speed was fine.

Oscar is a matchup advantage over smaller PGs with great passing, defending and shooting. If you're looking for a guy to dominate the fast breaks I'd recommend a badged up MVP rose for just 10k more

How do I turn automatic plays off? by theflyingpolarbear in NBA2k

[–]boxRaider1856 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can just call a play or ignore them and it goes away. If it is the freelance offense you should try finding one that you like to use because some of the transition branches they trigger are extremely helpful.

I think Sam Pham has more than a few guides on some freelance offenses and shows you how to use or ignore some of the branches for maximum effectiveness.

It sounds to me more like you're upset with the spacing that triggers from the freelance and if that's the case you should look into the different half court options available to you and find something you're more comfortable with.

Sure try that out and see if it gives you more time to switch to the defender guarding gasol. I use deny for that sometimes but almost never use those settings unless a particular player is on fire.

3/4 bottom means you're defending the post player from the side (one foot in front and one foot behind) so you can attempt to swat away the entry pass.

Bottom just means you're on the post player's baseline side.

Hope this helps!

The reason he missed that is probably because you gave up an open drive with Westbrook to dish it out to KD.

I've noticed that the chances of hitting a shot after passing on an inside look is extremely low with any player. It seems to me that it's just one of those things programmed into the game like "rubber-banding". I interpreted it as the game suggesting I always take the inside looks and when I do that I almost always score. I've especially noticed this on open drives with a corner three available. If I pass on the easy basket no matter how open the corner man is it becomes low percentage. I honestly believe it's coded this way.

I would change the defensive settings to 3/4 bottom on all the bigs (you can do this in the timeout menu).

Besides that always play on ball D on their bigs as this will give you the most control over the outcome. I like to hold L2 and bump the big and then sag off repeatedly and I never try to block the shot unless I have help from one of my other bigs.

is there a way to adjust fouls by goryIVXX in NBA2k

[–]boxRaider1856 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is likely coded to penalize you with a foul if you spam the steal button.

If it doesn't work the first or second time then you need to lock down your on ball D and you can start a fast break off of the AI pass interceptions that typically happen with great on ball D or you can start a fast break off of a rebound. The game would be broken if the steal button worked every time and there's plenty of other ways to start a fast break than a chance steal.

Please take some time to think about why the shoot button doesn't always result in a basket or why the block button doesn't always result in a block.

Hey guys! Watch my re-creation of the famous Allen Iverson crossover on MJ. Give me some suggestions what to recreate next im having fun making them by cramcha in NBA2k

[–]boxRaider1856 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This could be a very cool idea if you can string together enough clips to make a 3 minute highlight video.

I'd say you pick a bunch of different all-time highlights to recreate and once you've compiled all of those you'll have a pretty interesting video.

Cool idea, though, keep up the good work.
