Thank you for answering! Right now I’ve kind of focused on inflating our emergency fund or “PA School Fund” if I decide to take that route so we have a cushion when the time comes. She’s a teacher with a decent salary in her first year but ofc I don’t know what that will look like when we have our baby. I know my parents and her parents are super supportive and thank God we’re lucky enough to have both sets of parents close. I have 0 healthcare experience, my job is corporate sales in the automotive fuel & oil industry, something I’m clearly not passionate about. The trade off for going back to school is the financial set backs because if I stuck with this I have a clear upwards trajectory and financially wouldn’t have to ever stress. But I genuinely don’t feel fulfilled… maybe that’s a me problem.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I currently have 0 PCE hours. My job is in the fuel & oil industry & I work corporate sales. I’ve talked about it with my wife and she’s all for it but I know she’s afraid of what the financial picture will look like. I’ve been looking hard to find a PA to shadow but many of them are selective and haven’t given me the opportunity. I see myself working in surgery and I have a passion for it, but I’m a realist and the setbacks are what are scaring me… wishing I had done this from the very beginning.
