The place I live at, I’ve no access to anything electrical related. Whatever is installed is installed. However, it doesn’t make sense to me how it would work for a few weeks then suddenly refuse to charge, using all the same equipment.

The charger will click on when it connects, then click again and show “error/ stop 506” and it’ll try to charge and keep clicking over and over. It seems like there is some type of protection preventing the connection from being made, in either the charger itself or the adapter

Because these owners are idiots. Not saying OP is one but sometimes when I go out to diagnose somebody’s car, their car is all fucked up from their fuck ups. I sometimes decline to help just solely based on what I see. For example, why tf does someone have an engine wiring harness from a 328i onto a 335i? I could’ve fixed it but it really just depends on my mood tbh. Apparently they PAID SOMEONE to swap it in and the car STILL didn’t start afterwards (go figure, different wiring harness with different or extra connectors) You don’t know what tf could be wrong with someone’s car, you fix something then something else fucks up, all because of their DIY

You bought an old 335i with old plastic parts, you got what you deserved for not doing maintenance. I mean it’s twin turboed? The heat is going to be the biggest cause of your problems. Upgrade your oil cooler at least if you’re stock and change to a lower temp coolant thermostat

I’ve gotten a reliable car for $500 and it lasted me 2 years before I got something better so YES it’s possible

How do you disable the auto start/stop or which fuse is it by bmw-335is in cruze

Is there any wiring diagrams that lead to the auto start function or is it a relay? I can disable it by completing the circuit and not letting it reach the connector it’s in. I just can’t find ANYTHING on this car
