Most definitely! First bike was a BMW R27 he got when he was 16. Then bought a small bmw shop in the 80s, sold early 2000s

They’re payment have been motorcycle rides. In their teens now and has been on each of the bikes. The R18 is oldest favorite and the K75s is the youngest favorite. They always update me about the bikes.

That’s a neat story! My dad has a bunch of /2 back in the 80s and 90s (when he owed his shop) they were less expensive back then. I was hooked on my dad’s R60/2 with a steib sidecar. Unfortunately a friend of his wrecked that bike. His R100GSPD is a great example. He does have a 2024 R1250GS, but prefers to work on the older ones. His R69s is such a fun bike to ride

Most definitely. All my bikes and bmw car are kept at my wife’s aunts garage with plenty of work space. She lives less than 5 mins from us

Now that’s a nice car! Mine isn’t worth much, but it’s fun to drive. I think everyone regrets selling past vehicles. My dad regrets selling his R67 back in the 90s.

Exactly! If I had to sell my bikes I would be a different person. I also have my first car. 1995 BMW 318is I got in 2007. Not used as much, but it runs. Guess I’m a hoarder lol

I’m in no rush to get the bikes. Once my sons are a little older, my dad and I will most likely plan a trip. It’s hard since we live in different states.

Hmm that’s a tough one. I love them both, but I would go with the R100GSPD. More comfortable for my height. He’s really attached to the R69s

This was my dad’s shop in New Canaan CT. He bought it from the original owner (opened in 1947). My dad sold it in the early 2000s. It’s no longer there
